I too love Mazda. That RX-8 is a sweet car. I also like most the rest of their line-up too, as all of their cars just look...So cool.

I don't have a favorite. I would just look at all the vehicles and the one that suits me best would be the one that I would buy.

I would't really want to get a Ford because everyone has one. If you get a Ford vehicle it won't be nothing huge. Everyone has seen it thousands of times.

Brits = better taste in cars than anyone else.

^ I'd give it to the Germans. Or really continental Europeans in general. But I do think that you Brits have better taste than we Americans in cars.

Actually, I don't think it's that. I think it's more in general there are shitter cars in the US and in the UK we get all the European cars (Merc, BMW, Alfa Romeo etc) imported a lot more easily so we see better engineered cars a lot more.

Granted, I'm an outsider, but I think it's more than that. Europeans in general seem to value practicality and efficiently more than we do here in America. There are more hatchbacks and station wagons and less SUVs and pickups than we have here in the States.

I'm looking into getting a 240sx. They are pretty sexy in design and enough torque to get sideways.

Mazda is first, let me tell you, they are right up there with Honda and Toyota as far as reliability. My 90 MX6 has 160K+ miles on it and after a check up still has probably double that left if I keep up the upkeep. And I would take practically any car from their line right now, except the van. Mitsubishi is second, I love a lot of thier cars.

He's right.
I have an 87 BMW 3-Series, and there aren't many cars I'd take over it. Yes, that means even new. The car compliments me completely, it's everything I want in a car. Cruise and leather would be nice, but not necessary. I actually hate having to drive the 99 Corolla since I've gotten my car.
BMW is definitely my favorite. German engineering is the best in the world, and while they are more expensive, it isn't like I'll be buying new ones. Their Certified Pre-Owned vehicles are just like new.. and when you have a car that runs for half a million miles, it doesn't matter if you get it with 60,000.

My thoughts with Subaru as well. AWD just complements my driving style, recless endangerment of pedestrians.
