Possible New DS Names

Nintendo has registered nine acronyms, all of which are possibilities for the final name of the Nintendo DS...Take a look at the list of registered abbreviations below.



DGB
EGB
GBD
GBE
GBN
GBY
TGB
WGB
XGB



It's likely that the GB's stand for Game Boy, and the D's stand for Dual, but what could the other letters stand for? Any of these abbreviations could be the final name for the Nintendo DS, but we won't know until Nintendo speaks.

I have no clue what most of those might stand for :sad:

Nintendo has lied to us, then. They keep stressing that the DS is NOT the next Gameboy. I wouldn't mind if they called it just Nintendo DS... the logo from the E3 booth looked awesome.

I knew the gameboy name would be used.
it is pretty much guaranteed success with the gameboy name
...so why wouldnt they fight off sony with the strong GB name.

I hope they just leave it DS. Sounds good enough. I know Nintendo will make the right decision.
