All games listed, $49.99. Yeah... no thanks. I find paying $30 for GBA games hard to do.

Same with PSP games too, might I add.

You do realize that EBGames had $50.00 listed for GBA games at first too?

Can't say I do.

Well, yep ...they did.

Thats unrealistic. 30-40 sounds better for a handheld title. EB is probably just working off speculation.

EBGames, and most online retailers, always give a high end number so that if a game gets pre-ordered and the price officially comes out lower, they can give credit to those who paid the extra....but if they tagged the figures at say $30.00 and the official prices come out to be $40.00, they'd have to contact all the people that pre-ordered and ask for more money.

Don't they also have Resident Evil dated for next year? It's not true.
At least it better not be. :susp:

If it is, all the fanboys will uprise and tear down Capcom and Nintendo....we would know how the Half-life fans feel....

If they push it to Feb 2005, I won't be totally surprised ot even dissapointed. November has so many games coming out all fighting for that dollar that it won't get the sales that Capcom and Nintendo wants for it. On top of that, Feb is usually a very dry month for games and Re4 would fill int eh void nicely.

^ I have to diagree with not being dissapointed, because you're right about all the games coming out in November (HUGE month for gaming this year), and Feb is a dry month, but I want this game above all others, and I don't want to have to wait two months to have to play it. Plus considering all the games coming out in Nov (and Oct), you won't be able to play, or likely, buy them all, so you'll have games to play through Feb.

i dont see the DS games being $50...more like 39.99 msrp
and resident evil..hmmm, though i really really want this game for its slated november release, i kind of predict/feel that its date will move to february.

In Canada we pay 40- 50 bucks for game boy advanced games anyway so no big thing here.

THey proboly won't be $50 and they better not be cause then if I get DS i'll proboly only be able to buy 1 game for a while.

I hope the price is only about $40 canadian at the most. If they cost more then that, then I will rethink handheld gaming.

Well, since these games will be in 3D the cost of development will also go up drastically from the GBA, and the profit margins are already low on the GBA, so they might have to increase the price of the games in order to make any money.

I don't see how the games would cost more to put on a cartridge.

I'm saying the games will cost more to make. You know, to program and design and make graphics for.
SNES games didn't cost nearly as much to make as N64 games, this is because the N64 games are in 3D, they're more expensive to make, not because of carts, but because they are more complex behind the scenes.

Like I said in the last thread I posted in, EB is crap.

You're right. If you notice, I usually have to repeat my points a few times to get them across for some people.

More materials, not as high of mass-production as CDs/DVDs.

Umm...why does this matter? We all know the PSP will cost around $400, and the DS like, $150, so I would not mind paying $50 for the games.
They will go down in price anyway, like people said earlier.
