I just started reading one of his books, 'Salem's Lot, and its starting to get interesting. I was wondering what books you have read, or even what movies you have seen by Stephen King, and what you thought about him.

I believe I've seen all the movies, but I only read one book, the Night Shift...

I am an avid fan. I am currently reading the sixth Dark Tower book. Salem's Lot has some nice connections to this story. I like his non-horror stories better. Bag of Bones, Dead Zone, Dark Tower, Misery, Green Mile, and The Stand are my favorites.

I have seen most of the movies and read the books that go with them

The Stand is a huge book. I love the twisted dark stories though. I bought his short story compilation called Everything's Eventual. I'm gonna read it when I finish 'Salem's Lot.

I thought Langoliers was very good. The movie Thinner cracked me up, what his wife is doing to him when he hits the guy with his car.

Stephen King doesn't compare to the works of Yasuhiro Nightow. Trigun baby!!!!

His earlier short story collections are the best, like Night Shift (or Late Shift, I can't remember) and Skeleton Crew (I think that's what it's called). His Dark Tower books are by far his best work ever. Not really scary, but they're really cool. The last one has to be a masterpiece or I'm gonna...just.....I don't know, I'll do something.

I have ten pages left in Salems Lot. It was intense, to say the least, but almost everyone dies, which is kinda frustrating.

If you're curious about the character of Father Callahan's adventures after Salem's Lot, read the Dark Tower series. He comes in during the fifth book. It's really awesome. And yes, the Dark Tower series are more fantasy than horror, but they have some cool creepy stuff in 'em.

I read Cujo in like seventh grade, that was really cool. I also have The Dead Zone but I never finished that. I'd like to read The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile, both amazing movies and I'd imagine the books are much better.

Im either going to jump into "It" or "The Stand" next, depending if my stepdad has them still. But yes, I would like to follow Father Callahan's story. Pissed me off that most of the people got screwed.
