Well, I was trying to save up the 35 grand that I will need to get the STi, but I just realized, that if I get a laon, I could afford the STi WR1, an upgraded STi that has about 350 HP...Eat that Dude.
Or I could always buy an STi off Ebay, and use the money I save to just abuse the hell out of you with mods.
Still though, you have a nice ride, it's just that NOTHING comes between my manhood and my STi! It's ON!
your loan would piss you off since they haunt you, getting one off eBay would prob result in it being toss......35 grand and your gonna waste it on an overpriced car? i'd rather get a better cheaper car and Mod the hell outta that

See, with me and the STi it isn't about total raw speed. A lot of people don't understand that. I've been in love with the STi since they first started selling it in America, and that still hasen't changed today. This is by far NOT an overpriced car. Look at Audi's. They give you similar standards to STi's, but if you want one almost equal to it, you'll pay about 50K for it, to the STi's 30k. (Mines loaded at 35k)
I love the way tehy look, and drive, and feel. i've owned a WRX, but I wasn't satisfied with a measely 227 HP 2.0L turbo'd engine. With the STi's 2.5L Turbo'd engine, I have more displacement, do I can run a much larger turbo than the dude. I have 3 jobs, so money won't be a problem when I get the car, as I'll be paying straight up cash, although insurance will likely be around 250 a month.
Long story short, I'm willing to make sacrifices for my true dream car. I've been working my ass of the last 2 years to get it, and now that it is almost here, I couldn't be happier.

yeah you could do that. But getting a loan for a young kid sucks. The interst rates are going to kill you. You know that the STI engine is not same STI engine Japan gets. The American STI block is from a 2.5 RS. I would save your money and get the Mitsubishi Evo MR.
Displacment has nothing to do with how big of a turbo you can run..

I just got an awesome Idea!
I still have parts from my nitrous kit left over, I think I'm going to add a 75shot of nitrous to the Talon

Only if you know how to tune your car so you wont run super lean
Or if you really want to get a pocket rocket at a very cheap price just get the Evolution RS, same great power, a lot less wieght, and at only about 27.5k, nothing on this planet could touch it without having to go into Corvette teritory. Now that would kill, and you save almost 10k for even more mods, still, its just a suggestion but it seems that you are in love with the STI (can't really blame you though)

The RS is cool. But you dont get power windows/locks and other fun stuff. The EVO MR is going to be nuts. The current evo even tho it has less power then the sti, runs almost an identical 1/4 time. It also handles much better. STI's are cool but I'd take an evo over it.

True, but you are buying a freaking balls in your mouth demon, you don't buy these cars for creature comforts, if you want fast luxery, buy a merc or a bimmer, if you want world class performance with out that out of this world sticker, thats what the evos and STi's are about. God i love them too bad i can't afford either :(

You might not be able to afford an EVO, but there are other cars out there with the exact same engine just a smaller turbo. I know you affrod one becuse I have one.
Mitsubishi Eclipse (GSX) 1990-1999
Eagle Talon (TSI AWD) 1990-1998
Plymouth Laser ( RS AWD) 1990-1994
All use the exact same engine as an EVO III just smaller turbos. They are called DSM's.

I'm not that big of a newb at cars, i know about the dsm's and all, but the problem is finding them, at least aroudn here, the owners of those things just love those cars, and you can't blame them and besides, out of all of them i would the talon, lowest resale value=cheapest
