I'll see iut this weekend definitely, I'd love to see it tomorrow, but my work schedules make it really tough.
Well I saw it, and I though it was........
Fuggin Amazing!!! It's a great movie and a great sequel, It truly shines by itself and works as a sequel as well, similar to the way Empire Strikes Back worked. Their is a more serious and complicated story this time around, and Doctor Octopuss is one of the best villains since Darth Vader. There are some amazing action scenes, good story and plot, respectable acting, and most importantly, a great ending. Let's just say that it basically should lead right into the Trilogy Ending Spider Man 3. My only complaint is that I didn't feel there was enough of Doc Ock, which was a shame because I thought he was the most amazing villain I had seen in a long time. Anyways, Im going to put the ending in a spoil box for anyone who cant handle it anymore.
Basically, Harry finds out that Spidey is Peter, and then he gets a vision near the end by his father Norman (A Nice surprising Cameo by Dafoe),and during the vision, he accidentaly uncovered Norman's stash of Pumpkin bombs, an extra glider and an extra Goblin costume (sweeeet). After that MJ is about to get married to Jameson's son, the astronaut (the guy who brings the symbiote costume from the Moon, although they don't show that in the movie), MJ ends up leaving JJ on the altar, and instead goes to Parker's apartment and declares her love for him. She had already found out that Pete was Spidey, and right when they kiss, siresn go off in the distance, and she smiles at him acceptingly, and says "go get em tiger". After that the movie ends with Spidey Swinging out of the window as MJ watches, in a ending movie similar to that of the first movie.

I strayed away...Even though i already know how it ends from the comics...
In my experience, movies put too many twists in to follow the comics faithfully.
Im not too fond of the Spiderman movies so far...where's all the actual good villains that we want to see? Venom, Scorpion, Carnage, Mysterio...those were the good ones.
Not some dumb Hob Goblin.

It's too bad they are only going to make one more movie. I just got back from seeing it and thought it was a pretty damn good movie. I don't know if it lived up to all the hype but it had more of a story than the first one. The way things look though, it looks like the Venom/Carnage rumor may be false..

I managed not to read the ending, which wasn't too hard. I'm going to see it this Friday.

I'm seeing it at 9:30pm after going to a huge restaurant and pigging out for the first time in about a month. :)
Unfortunately, I don't know much about the Spiderman comics.. I was HUGE on the X-Men comics, and since my mom was too, we had many of the older ones. Including some of the first to be released. I was also really big on Batman, just not Spiderman. :(

^i saw it... it was one of the best movies i have ever seen. everything about it is practically good... special effects were eye popping. story was good. everything.
mach... i would consider dr. octopus one of the main villains. i doubt they could pull off mysterio without making him look gay. I was hoping venom and carnage are in the final one. that probably wont be so though. Spiderman 2 is amazing. Go see it. Its the best movie i have seen since RTOK... but before that, there hadnt been a great movie in a long time.

Plan to see it tomorrow. I've seen two Spider Man movies so far: the one before Spiderman 2, and that really cheesy movie they made back in the '80s.

I went to the 10 A.M. show and practically got the theater to myself. Great movie. Very good action, story, and even some decent romance scenes. The ending was a little shaky and cliched, though. Alfred Molina joins the ranks of actors that steal the movie as the supervillain in these comic book movies. Molina tore up the screen and he came across as a very good, complex villain. Maguire, Dunst, Franco, and J.K. Simmons also give very strong performances. A very good movie indeed.
^You didn't need to say that...its obvious Dr. Ock is the best villain ever...well at least amongst them...

I saw it today with my friend right before I leave to go on my vacation. I thought it was a good movie, but I didn't like it half as much as the people here. I liked the action, and the story. Good summer flick.

The next, and final, Spiderman will have the Green Goblin again. Harry stumbles into his fathers Green Goblin "Lair" dealy in the end of this one....The pretty much wrote it out in black and white for you....
I already spoiled that in my spoil box Goku....
oh well just nitpicking I guess....

Great movie. I'm glad that I got to see it on opening day. :D I'll probably be going to see it again next week, as well.
Luckily my theatre wasn't quite as crowded. Sat in a row all by ourselves. It's one of the only benefits of living in the middle of nowhere. I'm even shocked the theatre near us got a first-run movie.

they had 5 screens reserved for it here, so i didnt have to worry about them being sold out as much as i did with like star wars episode 2. The theatre wasnt even as packed as i thought it would be. there was plenty of seating left. i saw the 3rd showing of the day too.

Did anyone notice Stan Lee (the creator) make an appearance in the movie? He dodged at a woman to help her get out of the street in one of the scenes..
I just thought it was interesting. Wondering if anyone saw the same thing.

Stan Lee is in almost all the marvel movies, you have to search for him...remember Daredevil, when the kid stopped the one guy from walking in the street, because a bus was coming...that guy was Stan Lee...
I heard Stan makes no money off the movies, is this true?
Michael

Only if he sold the rights, which would be stupid, but I bet he did when he didn't understand...or need money fast...That why my team refuses to sell them...

there was a guy at my work who was talking about it. he mentioned it, and i said it was really good. he then said it was better than the first but the love story was cheesy and that you could see spidermans wang whenever they carry him across the screen.

In fact, yeah. My cousin noticed it when we were watching it.
I saw it earlier today and I thought the movie was incredible! Much better than the first one. They did a really good job on Dr. Octopus. They also sort of hint you that Venom may be in the next one which would be interesting to see.

He was also in The Hulk. When Bruce Banner enters one of the labs near the beginning of the movie, Stan Lee and Lou Ferrigno (Star of the old Hulk TV show) are coming out, It was pretty funny for those who recognized them.
Anyways, yes Leideia, I did notice Stan Lee in that scene. If im not mistaken, the only Marvel movies he hasn't been in was the X-Men movies. I've only seen the Punisher once, so im not too confident about that one either.
sounds crazy
i gonna see it soon
