why is spiderman so big and popular?
i hated the first movie. [but i laughed when spiderman tried to dog the little spining things neo-style and lokoed like a retard doing the limbo :spiny: ]
i thought the game was horribly dodge. like, sticking the web to thin-air? huh?
fair enuf, the old cartoons and comics rocked but all the new stuff seems horribly weak.
so why is it so popular?
note i have seen very little of the new movie so im not including that in my complaining. Scorpion [is that his name?] was like my fav baddie in the cartoons so maybe this one is good....
.....
Im still debating wether that's worthy of a reply.

why do you guys like it?
Because they are good movies? Oh well that seems to be the more popular opinion.

*looks around*
Considering the fact there was a whole comic-book series and multiple TV series....
Spiderman has a HUGE fanbase!
I thought the first movie was pretty good - especially as far as special effects go. And it followed the storyline kinda. I really want to see the second one because he already knows his powers; so action can start off immediately.
The Spiderman game was OK...some people enjoyed it....but it's not gonna game of the year or anything. -- I mean what do you expect? (movie licensed game)
I think people are getting into the Spiderman movies because it humanizes the old cartoons and uses special effect technology to do so - technology not available in the past.

The first movie wasn't terrible. It was definitely not one of my favorites, though. The special effects weren't that great, but it did go along rather well with the comic books. I know many people who enjoyed the first movie tremendously.
The second movie was really improved a lot from the first. Everything about it was incredible (I think, personally). Sure, it wasn't perfect, but it had the kickass-tone to it. If that makes any sense, at least. The effects were much better than the last time, and the storyline, I think, was a tad bit better as well. A lot more suspense than last time, etc. Probably one of the best comic-book movies done yet.

I think it could be about 10x's better...but that just because I make comics, and have high expectations from the comicbooks made into movies...

I kind of get where shadowrunner's coming form though. I agree they are good movies, but why are they so much bigger than say a new Batman movie. The first one didn't seem like it did anything to seperate itself from all the other superhero movies. I've heard it's better if you watch it a second time, so maybe I'll have to do that.

The first spiderman movie can suck it. The second one can suck it too if it doesn't have that badass rhino guy from the cartoon.
