I like the format of that review. I'm not a big Spiderman fan, so I don't think I will ever buy the game, but I may rent it someday. I appreciate the honesty the reviewer gave instead of hyping the game up sense he's a big fan.

I don't think I'll even try the game. Its just not my type.
If you haven't yet, be sure to check out Goku's Spiderman 2 review or Pro A's Megaman Collections review. Both are excellent and can be found by clicking their corresponding highlight on the main page.

How the hell can you say that Bruce Campbell's voice acting sucks? It's awesome.

Beacuase I can...And did. I thought most of the voice acting was tolerable. Only Spidey's was good.

My own little review. (I did this without spell check, and I did it in 10 min, so don't get all pissed at me if it isn't good).
New York is once again trembling at the feet of classic Spider-Man villains such as Shocker, Rhino, Mysterio, and Doctor Octopus. However Spider-Man is not alone this time, in a few of the battles you have the agile Black Cat to help you. How does Spider-Man 2 fare against its predecessor? Hopefully I can show you the ways.
If any of you played the original you would know that Spider-Man was very restricted. He could not go down the streets below, he wasn’t even really allowed to explore the whole city. All this changes in Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man is now free to roam the streets, swing from building to building, and even help civilians as side missions. Trey Arch went out of its way to make Spider-Man 2 what it should have originally been.
Before I go too far into describing how amazing Spider-Man 2 is, let me tell you about how you control Spider-Man himself. The controls have been totally revamped to allow you to do anything Spider-Man would normally do. You can jump off of a building, and in the air shoot a web to a near by helicopter if you so wish. You can perform many acrobatic moves in the air or on the ground. An example would be shooting a web at a person, draw him close to you, jump up in the sky, and let go of him and watch him fall to his death. Basically it actually feels like you are Spider-Man and you chose Exactly what you want to do.
The game also performs magnificently. I have experienced no frame rate issues at all. Also you’ll be happy to know that you can swing through all of Manhattan without loading times. With all the game has, all the buildings of Manhattan, all the scenery, and so much on the screen at a time, the game performs with little to no problem. However with so much happening and so much to see, the graphics haven’t been improved much. In fact many of the character models are downright awful. Some cutscenes are decent, but don’t expect Chronicles of Riddick type graphics. Overall the game handles everything put into it with hardly any negatives.
The gameplay is what will have you playing this game for hours even after you have beat it. Sometimes I find myself just swinging through Manhattan for the fun of it. Spider-Man 2 does have repetition though. All the civilian missions are alike. Whether it be swinging a person to safety, or helping the cops chase a robber, the side missions are very repetitive and will get boring. There is a plus side to this however. If you continue to purchase moves from the store, some of these missions become fun again. Its always fun to go back and try some new moves.
The story line is based loosely on the movie. Other villains who were not in the movie are shown in the game such as Shocker, and Mysterio. Basically Peter Parker is slowly understanding that he doesn’t have to quit being Spider-Man and that he can be both and still live his life…..while defeating Doc Ock. The story line also carries on to a lot of annoying boss fights. Some take a while to figure out, and others are just so crazy, you wonder why they even put it in the game. All in all, you understand how the game progresses, but sometimes you wish it would be different.
Spider-Man 2 is definitely a must buy for fans of the original. This game adds so much more and it truly feels like you are Spider-Man. Graphics are decent, and the music you’ve heard before, but the gameplay is what really makes the game what it is. I encourage all of you to check this game out.
