Maybe. I could afford it, but that would mean I'd have to keep working at FedEx for a while.

^ You better pray that I never find out where you live.
Buying this car has kinda been my lifes work. And, I've almost completed it. It's sad really, yet exillerating at the same time.
I can't help but wonder what I'll want next, which is one reason I'm subconciously talking ym self out of it.

If you say that the thing costs 45k, you'd be much better off buying a brand new Mustang and keeping a couple thousand. But hey, it's your money to waste. Even though I'm pretty sure there's no way in hell you have anywhere close to $45k.

:barf: mustang
Its pathetic how the Subaru has a 2.5lt and makes over 300awhp and the mustang needs a 5lt to make close the same amount.

Yea most american muscle cars throw as much gas guzzling crap they can under the hood for power and don't try to make it efficient. That's why I <3 JDM. They may be less powerful but they are efficient.

Two things.
A Vette, only a few grand more, is 420 hp and the Z06 next year will be over 500 hp.
If they can get 300 hp from 2.5 lt then why not make a 5 lt engine that cranks over 600 hp and be down piddling around?
Efficiency is great and all but means shit on the pavement.

^It all comes down to personal preferance. I like a car that has a little pep but doesn't cost $3,500,000 to fill the tank. I was born and raised a cheap bastard and I'll stay that way untill I die or win the lottery.

If you can afford the $45, or 55 for the Vette, grand and the insurance, then I the pump wouldn't even be an issue.
PS: The Vette actually gets better mileage.
STi - 18/24 mpg
Vette - 18/25 mpg

I just checked, the 2005 model gets 30 miles per gallon highway. That is pretty damn good for a 400 hp sports car.

AWD kills mpg, Talon only gets 17mpg
Horsepower means shit if you cant put it down. Its not all about horse power, I'm just saying that Ford and Chevy need to try harder. Its pathetic a car with twice as much displacment makes only that much.
When are you going to need 400HP? Unless you race the 1/4 its pointless. Going in a stright line is nothing any moron can floor a car. What mattters is how well you can takle the corners, somethingthat takes skill and american car makes have never been able to make a car turn right (except the Ford Gt)

*repeatedly slaps Adam*
I'd take a Suby over a Yank Tank anyday. Handling over power! Corvettes might outdo 4 bangers power wise, but a Ralliart or a WRX would be a shite sight easier and nicer to take along a windy dirt road.

Don't know where you got those numbers, but I went and looked at my soon to be STi yesterday, and it gets 23/27
The WRX gets 23/28.
