Just a question on whether any of you guys had heard or seen anything on this. Developed by Free Radical, the guys behind Time Splitters, this is a little off their normal gaming route for them.

There's a deep story line and goes down the line of a psychological thriller.

Is this one that has gotten anyone's attention?

BTW it's for PS2, Xbox and Gamecube

I heard about it a few months ago, and I found it very interesting. It has a lot of possibility to be a great game, but it depends if Free Radical can pull it off. I'll wait till it comes out and I read all the reviews before I decide if I want it or not, but even if I do, it won't be anytime before Christmas, too many games, dvds, presents, and car shit to pay for before then.

Some people will draw some comparison between this and Geist. I've been looking forward to both for quite some time.

i really want it, but i just dont have the money for it, unless it comes out under $50. It does look really good though. I might just wait for reviews. Free Radical did great with Timesplitters 2, so I am sure this one is no different.

As long as the controls aren't super sensitive and whacked like TS2 controls were, I will probably get it.

Controls are very responsive atm...I haven't have any problems with them so far.

I have seen the odd comparison with geist, but from my perspective that looks alot different to 2nd Sight....well from the video I saw at least....

There's more vids up at IGN today....compare them, I'd be interested to note any comparison

As a side note I was wondering which US Shops ppl use to buy their games from?

Being from the UK I only know of Gamestop, EB and Frys.....and I can see that there are some nice little pre-order offers on say Gamestop (http://www.gamestop.com/search.asp?sortby=title&searchtype=quicksearch&searchcount=12&keyword=second+sight&platform=0&find.x=0&find.y=0&find=Search)...behind the scenes DVD, etc

How is it as shops go?

I have heard of it, I was intereset way back when they released TS2 there was rumors of a pshycological thriller that Free Radical was making similar to Resident Evil games... Since they released info on it in February I have been very interested in the game and I will buy it no questions asked.

Lots of people are comparing it to Psy Opps and saying Free Rad copied their idea but they had the idea way back in 1999 but went with a FPS because they didnt really have the resources then to make such a game. Plus they are making it for 3 consoles that takes more development time so it may have been out before Psy Opps if it were only developed for one instead... I just thought I would add that because on every forum that is discussing it (almost anyway) they compare the two games and say Free Rad is copying it when its not fact. I think its just coincidence that the two games are similar, but they are also a lot different as SS will have more stealth and run and guns etc... I have not played either yet I thought about gettting the demo but I will just wait for the game!

Well first off they are the main people who made Goldeneye and Perfect Dark on N64 so there could be some graphic similarities; and I know there are some design similarities in TS2 from GE and PD. They do have 5 of the 8 people who worked on Goldeneye and maybe 2 more that were on the PD team before they split.

But anyway as for the games looking the same Free Radical has a very distinctive look to their games and I think that is a good thing. The graphics in Second Sight look very good in my opinion the pollygon count is up and the levels certiainly look good. This game is supposed to have some of the best animation and lots of good cut scenes. They did a good job with TimeSplitters 2's cut scenes with the voice work and animating the mouths scenes etc; this is supposed to be on a whole new level.

BTW the graphics are far and beyond anything the N64 could possibly spit out, its insulting to the developer to say anything remotely similar to what I have quoted. You sound very uninformed, btw TS2 is probably the best FPS on the Cube if not the best on any console, if not the best, its damn close. I realize every one is entitle to their own oppinion so I will respect yours if you think its "terrible" imo its the exact opposite and what I have described it earlier in this paragraph.

On a side note the gameplay in SS will be very different then TS2, it will have some gun action but is all new and sounds like it will be a lot of fun. If you want info on it I suggest checking out www.ign.com or www.gamespot.com they have some nice previews, videos, and developer interviews.

Now out in shops around europe for Gamecube. Anyone here have it or tried and wishing to submit an opinion of the game?

Stuck somewhere? I'll see if I can help

Yep th elook is very similar to TS2 as it uses an evolved TS engine, but that gives the game a distinctive look and feel.

Again I have seen th ecomparisons but many reviewers have seen the huge differences in gameplay. If you like to think while playing then give this a go. You like story driven games, you'll like this one too.

Well worth trying the demos that are avaialble on mags to see if ir's up your alley :)
