Just need some input on this from those who have played both. Which one do you feel is better? Are you typically a console or pc gamer? Advantages/disadvantages?

They screwed the PC version up badly. I have a decent system and can run UT2K4 on all effects high and a great resolution at 60 fps but I have to turn stuff down to play Halo even, way down to play it seriously and Halo is graphically piss next to UT2K4.

although the PC halo has extra stuff, u do need an awsome PC to play it at its full capabilities, or even just to play it without lag. But the xbox one has the full graphics without lag, so it wont get annoying and a controller, which i prefer over a keyboard+mouse.
i went for xbox

I like the PC version better...I don't think you can play the xbox version online.

The new maps are really good, the Flame Thrower and the other cannon are cool too. I just hate the banshees.

The XBOX version is hands down better.

Halo for PC is a sloppy port. It looks better on my computer but that's cause it's souped up and rund 60 fps with all effects on. Still the controls were altered more and the game set up more for the xbox. Online play is great but for majority of people out there the Xbox one will be a lot better.

Just wait for Halo 2 for xbox then you get the best of both worlds.

Gearbox did not do a good job of balancing the new additions as Bungie would have done. The flamethrower and fuel rod were way way way way too powerful.

The flamethrower was not as bad since you had to be fairly close to burn people, but the fuel rod... holy shit what the fuck were they thinking. Fuel rod had like 100 rounds, a very long range, and it was extremely powerful.

They needed to do something with the fuel rod, like make it very hard to get instead of leaving it in the open, or make it less powerful or hold less ammo or something. The fuel rod was sweet but way too powerful.

Another thing I didn't like, although its not a fault of the game, was that people sucked. Seriously, I beat everyone I played, I would always place in the top 3 at least. It is no fun to always win.

Agreed. Halo on PC looks like garbage, and the lag on online play is horrendous. The XBOX version is far superior.

PC version:
New Maps
New Vehicles in multiplayer
Better Online system then XB Connect

Xbox version:
No lag
No need to spend money for a graphic card good enough to handle the game
Controllers

Both have pros. I would say go with PC if you have a good enough PC to handle it.

Team Multi player games are funner and better on Xbox. See on the PC you have your own screen right! but in CTF's Team DM you gota type to talk to your team mates while on xbox you look at your team mates screen and you can see what their up to. Now this is great because we have pulled of some excellent team plays because we know where each of our fellow teammates are. Of course DM would be better on the PC since there is no cheating, but i prefer the Team games on Halo they rock! basically i've been playing halo Xbox for ages and i'm so used to it so probably Xbox halo is better, i can also play it on my big ass TV.

Well I think the pros and cons of each have been covered so no point in restating them. I'll just say that I prefer the xbox version.
