well as many of you know microsoft released a new trailer of halo 2. well if you noticed at the end when the xbox logo is spreading the words "www.xbox.com" change to "www.ilovebees.com".

If you visit the site it has a LOT of subliminal messages that obviously link to halo 2.

This is what I have seen on websites such as IGN. there is a countdown on the main page of ilovebees.com so that is where the numbers come from.

Now keep these in mind, it's very intresting.
Aug 24, 1995 Microsoft inflicts Windows 95 on an unsuspecting world.
Aug 24, 1456 Printing completed on the Gutenberg Bible.
Aug 24, 79 AD Mt. Vesuvius erupts for the first time, destroying Pompei.

In 3 days, network throttling will erode.

In 17 days this medium will metastasize.

COUNTDOWN TO WIDE AWAKE AND PHYSICAL:
31:05:20:04:469

this is what the countdown stated.

"In 3 days, network throttling will erode." They are currently beta testing. In 3 days, they will stop.

"In 17 days this medium will metastasize." (metastasis- to grow, infect, spread, or replicate) Halo 2 goes gold and they start mass producing the discs.

COUNTDOWN TO WIDE AWAKE AND PHYSICAL:
31:05:20:04:469 --Bungie, in accordance with the August 24th tradition, releases halo 2, unexpected, to the world.

--------------------------
I believe this is true, because if you think about it Halo 2 has already been given the rating of M for Mature by the ESRB. Not only that, but it's a known fact, the ESRB only rates COMPLETELY FINISHED games.

I think Bungie and Microsoft is planning to fuck us all up. Why? Will it lose hype? No. Halo 2 has already gained hype from the past 2-3 years...

I really think November 9th will be the release date for the demo that you could get from OXM, or whatever.

this is reaaally weird, IMO.

Here are some posts by those with some background info, speculating as to what it could be:

OK, I have some quick info I'd like to share with you all. I have found out that the community is calling this Halo 2 online game "The Beast II". The reason is that the first ARG (Alternate Reality Game) was called The Beast, developed by a small programming team within Microsoft. The same team has supposedly been identified as the main people behind this one. The original game was created as a promotional stunt to advertise the movie Artificial Intelligence, and was contracted to be developed by Microsoft. It had thousands of online players at its time and started the entire genre. This is supposedly the same team, and the sequel. It is expected to get very complicated, deep and cryptic.

More history of what's actually going on here can be found at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternate_Reality_Game

The game was identified at:

MS does have a large branch in Texas.

And really, it has to be MS related, as no podunk personal website for bees could withstand the beating it has surely gotten today.

I found out that ilovebees.net is also registed....by the same person. It doesn't have anything up yet

As a post in the other thread points out, Bungie likes the number 7. ladybee777 7x7x7 = 343 (Guilty Spark)

Oh, August 24th is apparently 77 days before Nov. 9 and also 7 days before the end of the month

My guess is that a demo will be released?

Yup, that'd be my guess too, demo. You guys looked into this quite a bit.

Yeah, but if you remember back when, Bungie said they are NOT going to release a demo until the game is finished and has been released.

I find some clues. In the trailer, it says "We're not ready," perhaps that means that we're not ready, because they are gonna surprise us come August 24th.

Another clue is how I stated above, the ESRB gave Halo 2 an M, and they only rate full, finished games.

If they released Halo 2, completely unexpected, more than 2 months earlier than stated, the hype meter would skyrocket. I dont think you realize just how much that would up the sales. People would completely flip.

This is some good stuff though.

Quite interesting. Not sure what to expect, but I won't get my hopes up for anything in particular.

I don't think a surprise release would help asles at all, a lot of people won't have the money, which they would've because they would have saved for it, they lose three months of attracting new customers with things like ilovebees.com and movie trailers, and they miss the christmas craze. Halo 2 is the most anticipated game this year, and will sell the best of the year, no doubt, they know this, the game's not being released early, they just want more hype and more buyers, a demo, however, is possible.

i went to this ilovebees site and i was looking around on it, and i saw something under the black thing that said click here, and the 'here' was in green. now, i couldnt click anywhere, but when i clicked, then dragged my mouse, it highlighted alot of fked up shit (this stuff is on the attachment)
also, i added a nice red arrow pointing to a scroller thing. there is some more text that says 'site aesthetic by aunt margaret'
anyway, go to the site and see for urself, and i dunno if neone else has found this, i hope it helps u guys out with ur little release date quest.

Dude. Just about anyone who owns a Xbox preordered Halo 2 in full before E3.
