I got this game in Final Fantasy Chronicles for the PS1 and its one of the best games ever! The music is awsome, the characters are intresting, and the battles are sweet!

My only major gripe isn't with the game but with sony for making such a crappy port. Their a load times for everything in this game. Wanna bring up your menu? Hit triangle and be prepared to sit through a black screen for about 6 seconds (I counted) To get out of the menu look forward to 4 pr 5 seconds of a black screen. Wanna move between room and room? 2 or 3 seconds in between rooms gets anoying....

EVERYTHING HAS LOADTIMES

Damn you sony for screwing up an almost unscrewable game.

i started playingn this but i stopped cause somthing was wierd with it. i got into the future for the first time, and u have to catch a rat then u use the password (hold some buttons) at a computer, but nothing happened. it worked on my friends thing so mine mightve been a bit wierd...
anyway, from what i played it was an awsome game.

I believe I had trouble with that button part playing the game on my computer, but I eventually got it to work by pushing random buttons. The game is truly awesome.

should be played at a snes to get rid of those loading times.
awesome game, no doubt, but not better than FF3(6) or Secret of Mana

It runs on fine on the PS1 its with the PS2 its wierd.

You have to change some things with the PS2 on the menu at startup but I forget what.

Ask/search on the gamefaqs board about it, they should know.

To me that game is awesome and one of my favorites. I think its the best magic in an RPG I ever felt in my life. It has a lot of things that the Final Fantasy series could have seriously started using. The closest game that I felt the magic to was Tales of Phantasia.

Yep great game, easily one of best of all time. Forget the pretty scenery of FFX or the fun Battles of Tales of Symphonia, this game tops them all. Well maybe except for Skies of Arcadia, man this game has made me its bitch. Anyway yeah it kicks ass and if im not mistaken on that disc there is also FF6(3 to us Americans), another one of those best games ever. Too bad about the loading times though, that sucks. Also, anyone know how Chrono Cross was, i always wanted to play but never got the chance, is it anything special?

It doesn't have the magic that CT ever had but it really is something special. Its got a battle system that can really be a mess but because of a certain option it makes it easy for anyone to pickup. If there was one big problem I don't like about the game it would have to be certain riddiculously difficult bosses. After playing CT and then CC I really don't understand how the FF series is so popular now. They could have started to be more like CT right after that game was made.

I don't think that would have worked out right, Final Fantasy couldn't take Chrono Trigger game style play, because FF had to, for a while, stick to the way it always was. Chrono trigger is amazing, the story line is just awesome. The FF series has the same effect, they all also carry a wicked story line, not one are lesser then Chrono trigger, nor are they better. I love Chrono triggers system style, but I say Final fantasy was very strong in the game style it had. Re-playability is where some final fantasy games lost out. Chorno trigger had allot of it. (I hate RPGs now to let you know 3D ones that is) I didn't like Chrono cross, it seemed to be a lame atempt to revive Chrono trigger. :/

That's just me three and a half cents.

But CT and CC could have had its engine seen in the FF series. I don't see where this FF had to stick to its old engine. FF's engine is not bad but it was something you would use for lack of technology, lack of being outside of the box, and a pen and paper necessity. After a while who actually liked random enemy encounters? I don't know about you but I'd like to see an enemy and think about my options rather than just walking to see some wizard only to be teleported to another battle-arena and fight. You're right CC didn't feel as nice as CT but it still did a lot of things way better than FF.
