Most of you probably know that the new Pontiac GTO was actually made in Australia, based on the Australian GM Holden Monaro.
Going by what I've read, the Pontiac GTO was criticised for being a little lacking in the looks department (for a Pontiac anyway). I reckon GM should have waited to use the GM Holden Coupe4 instead, its the same car essentially, just that it looks a lot meaner.....well IMO. It was a bit harsh sending you guys a car that was already outdated here in Oz......but then again we get that here all the time.... :nervous:
The Coupe4 is a 2003 model (where the GTO is based on the 2000 Monaro Coupe) and is an AWD 367HP beast. I guess that's as close as us Aussies will come to your Vettes and Mustangs and the like....
Check out the comparisons.....
