View Full Version : Anyone here ever consider becoming a professional athlete?
I always wanted to be a professional baseball player. I think I could/still can. I have the talent. Plus its one of the easiest going sports to play. You dont have to get yelled at for dropping a pass or for turning over a basketball.....
I would like to become a profefsional bb player

Who in their right mind has not thought of becoming a professional athlete. I would love to play in the NBA or NFL. I would even love to play college football or basketball. People that don't have to work all the time and can go after those dreams are really lucky.
Of course I've thought about it, to bad I suck at most sports.

Golf or football would be good, as long as I was playing for a top Premiership club. But I sux0rs, so that would never happen.

Eman, describe in detail the caliber of your team.
If you seriously believe you have the talent, explain it to me.

Did you just say come-cum?
Wow...
No i meant describe the caliber of your team
Aka, triple rep divison champs
state champs
etc.
I'm assuming you don't even play rep now. :splitspin Btw, lets all laugh at you for saying cum instead of come.
Um.... what do you think i meant by my team sucks?
We didnt get anywhere last year.

I wanted to be in the NHL until I played AA hockey. Then I found out how hard you have to work at each practice and game. I hate really hard work in practice, I just hate it.

House League means recreational
So its not supposed to be competitive.
This is how we go:
House League
All-Star
Rep(resentation)
Provincial (State)
National
Do you play for a city, state or your country? if not, you just play house league
Speedstick, I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about as probably about 90% of people play house league sports...
I could care less where i play. As long as im playing it doesnt matter. Im still a good player if i play for the best team in the country or the worst.

it matters where you play, because if youre not good enough to qualify for any team beyond recreational, you suck.
well, not suck, but you're nowhere near good enough to play professional.
No it doesn't matter what team you play for, Lebron plays for a shit team, he's still good. But he plays the highest possible league. Thus, his shit teammates=the best teammates in the minors. in the minors, their shit players are the best of the recreation. (obviously those aren't real leagues in the NBA and so forth)
Do you see it now Eman? I just want to make sure you don't truly believe if you don't even play competitive baseball, that you're going to play pro.
Who says it isnt competitive baseball?
I realize and know all the shit you just said but if i go to a scout and tryout and they like me thats all that matters.

no see, it does
because by now, you should already be in the stages to play baseball at a very high competitve level (If you want to play pro). you're what, 16?
So you do play competitive baseball? Yes/No. answer the question so i can fully crush your dreams

I think it'd be sweet to be a pro wrestler, I just don't have the time. I could if I wanted to - not WWE or anything, but pro none-the-less.

Well, when I was a lot younger I competed in the marial arts on a regional level...and I recently reunited with a lot of the guys I trained with, and within the next two years we plan on competing at the national level. I don't know if that would make me a "professional" martial artist or not but whatever. You don't really make any money that way, it's just kind of a prestige thing.

Obviously theyd just skip that and go straight to the rep teams.
eman, go try out for rep and then consider playing pro
