That is different color tile. If that were a shadow, her arm would produce a shadow as well.

In fact, if you examine closely, you'll notice that she is sitting almost upright in a curved lounge 'chair' thing. See her hand gripping the side? And notice her left arm shadow. See how much coverage the shadow gives?
