subaru, But then you need to know what price range you are looking for because a oringal 1965 AC Cobra will set you back 3 million

I'd say late 80's or early 90's would be alright. Not too greatly old but should be in good enough shape.

my first car is an '84 Z28 Camaro. We're replacing the carpet and getting a new seat...it's gonna be so sweet when we finish it.

Any Mazda would do just fine, seriously. I have a 1990 Mazda MX6, I have had no problems with it, it runs great, and I don't have to do a lot to it, just the basics like oil change, etc. Newer Mazdas are hot too, the 3, 6, are all lovely cars for a good price.

A Honda is a good car to learn how to drive with because they are very reliable and sexy on gas

Hell to the yeah.

Subaru's are great cars, and they'll run FOREVER, even as long as teh dude will hate you.

I currently have a subaro with 150k miles on it, and it runs like a dream still.

hondas are nice cars, so are mazdas they will work great for a first car

goku2057
08-05-2004, 05:38 PM
Don't get a homosexual honda, they aren't safe. If you get hit by pretty much anything at a decent rate of speed, you will die.

Sendok
08-05-2004, 05:48 PM
^that why i say go for a lincoln. nothing like a v8 tank :)

goku2057
08-05-2004, 06:00 PM
nah, Subaru's get mostly 4-5 star ratings.

Sendok
08-05-2004, 06:13 PM
^maybe so...but i still feel better in my lincoln than any other car i've driven or been in.

Hondas are small yes, but that makes parking easier to learn. :P And they are very manuverable through tight situations. True it's a slow grocery getter car but a good car to learn how to drive for sure.

don't get a "Cool" car for your first, one, as you WILL wreck it.

Another up point for subaru is AWD.

Mazda makes a pretty good little stylish car. Thier cars r reliable and ussually have some "zoom-zoom" to them.

goku2057
08-07-2004, 06:10 AM
I have three words for you: All Wheel Drive.

Nothing is near as cool as AWD. Trust me, or just ask the Dude.

X2_revolution
08-07-2004, 06:38 AM
AWD isnt really anything important I find. My car can take me work, school, home, or just a night out with some friends just as well as any AWD car can and mine is a rear wheel drive.

goku2057
08-07-2004, 06:42 AM
if you want to drive fast, and grip the road, AWD OWNS RWD. Trust me, I drive a Subaru. Both my parent's cars are RWD, and they handle like shit compared to mine.

Bryan talked me into getting a bmw...thoughts?

goku2057
08-07-2004, 09:34 PM
Sure, get a BMW, if you can afford 5000$ in insurance per year.

The Dude
08-07-2004, 10:09 PM
Actually most BMW's have a very low resale value, so you can get a lower model (like a 3 series) for pretty cheap. It would be pretty pimp to say you owned a beemer when your only 16.

AWD has its advantages and disadvatages. AWD kills your miles per gallon even on a little car. But if you live in a shitty climate (like me) They are worth it. Pluse they are tons of fun in open parking lots :1337:

Get a old mustang with a V8 not a V6 or i will have to make fun of you.

the 5.0's?
well doesnt mader, i have a 4.2 V8 and it is just as fast.

The Dude
08-08-2004, 05:05 PM
Technically the 5.0 mustang is not 5 liters, it is 4.9 liters. They round up becuse 5.0 sounds cooler then 4.9

goku2057
08-08-2004, 07:34 PM
Technically, I really don't think it matters. It's like 4.99 liters if you want to get technical.

goku2057
08-10-2004, 08:48 AM
I'd say stay away from Honda's. They aren't as reliable as Subaru's anyway, and they don't have AWD either.

Eman

its impossible to get a real answer..everyone is bias :(

Crow
