I don't understand why people don't want next-gen consoles to come out when even the early games will look this great (the engine is already running on XBox2). I want to see what Team Ninja can do with this power :heybaby:
Wow, if it wasn't some crazy looking thing in the screens i would have thought those were real pictures (okay, maybe not but they look fucking amazing :D)
Yes, imagine what Team Ninja could do with it. But imagine what Team Ninja could do with a PC, hmmmm.

I just finished reading about it in a small article. I would get the game if I had a great computer that could play the game nicely.

But unlike the Doom 3 engine the Unreal Engine 3 won't run on modern day computers!

There we go, thats way better. Those graphics are so amazing. And yeah, I am really looking forward to the next generation consoles but I can handle the GC for atleast another year. (I would have to anyway, not that its a bad thing)

^Another two years, and they don't have it running on the hardware itself, just computer emulations of what the hardware should turn out to be, but we can pretty much expect that in next-generation consoles, and boy is it amazing. I don't know if you have seen the actual movie for the engine, but it's stunning in every way, I nearly wet myself watching it, i'll try to find the link again, it's so amazing.

Other teams are also hard at work using his engine. "There are already several UE3 titles underway. We're developing our next-generation game, three teams are already using it in their development process, and a bunch of others are about to start," said Sweeney. Presumably one of these is Vanguard, a massively multiplayer RPG in development at Sigil Games. No doubt announcements on the rest are coming.
"We can't really announce anything right now -- I shouldn't really use the plural yet. We have the engine running really well on the development kit for one next-generation console." Draw your own conclusions, but thanks to the Unreal engine's strong PC heritage, we'd speculate it's Microsoft's Xbox successor. "We've really gone all-out to support the next-generation feature set," he continued.

Jesus, these pic look like someone came from the future and posted the pic, These graphic look like some kind video game from some high-tech console from somewhere 2012.
If the next generation nintendo have these graphic and made mario and zelda, these will kick ass! But unless Dead or alive beach volleyball next sequel with this graphic is going to make toilet, paper and any tissue company richer.

Of course, the graphics will be better because it will be on a better system. Thats an unfair standard. Doom III, for what it is worth, has remarkable visuals.

Well, I knew that, but Doom III doesn't look better...and he said it did, but hey everyone is entitled to there opinion...

Honestly you didn't own a Dreamcast did you... Jet Grind Radio... Ooga Booga... Online Play... ETC...
There are a few games that couldn't have been done with the old graphics that wouldn't have worked quite right.. But now were to a point that we need a new controller... The next step...
Honestly the Sega Saturn still has all the best Gems...

Doom 3 uses lighting effects to produce their high quality images. Where as this game is just....pure graphics....every polygon going into an objected to make it very detailed. I still like it

what ever happened to the good old days, when gameplay was more important than graphics? Graphics are only icing on the cake, and I get sick when I eat plain icing.

I had no idea... REP points for you...
OOGA BOOGA was the bomb. That Dreamcast game was the coolest online/party game ever... Sonic Adventure couldn't be done do to speed and being able to see. There are a few things.. but now... they need something else..

Yeah, many things have dried up since then...Dreamcast was the only system I really felt like going online with, but it was to slow, I couldn't stand it at the time...it was fun when I had it thoguh..Dreamcast shouldn't have ever died though, but they took a risk in Gd-roms, and it was a bad decision, they should have waited till ps2 was out and fixed there own mistakes...they had games, graphics (shenmue above most), online...but the ps2 hype was just way to big...That's why I hate sony...

Actually graphics are important but they should let gameplay be less of a focus than the graphics. I like the graphics but if that is all they show off then I loose interest. Also its kind of unfair to say "move over Doom 3" Doom 3 will also be on xbox but when will this game come out? You say its running on xbox2 well yeah anything in the future can have better graphics than the past. It would make more sense if they came out the same date.
The only reason people don't want to go on ahead with the next gen is because its kind of ridicules. Its more like companies think they should give up on the current system and automatically go on to the next so quickly and early when they have some tiny hint of weakness this generation. Can't they do anything on their current system that they haven't done before? Other than graphics of course.
