Because I know jack about soccer.

American football is also much more popular with our mostly American userbase.

You only don't like watching it is because you're presented with shit. American football is one of the if not THE worst league in the world. If you want proper fucking shit may I suggest the Premeirship (English) or La Liga (Spanish), that's where the real entertainment is at.

Perfect Agent

Viper

PA, when you watch a quarterback launch a 60 yard pass into the end zone or a running back swerve and outrun 5 guys.....how can you even compare that to curling?

Soccer: back and forth for an hour and no score. Sorry man but that is weak.

Your Football = Grid Iron (which we invented)
Our Football = Football (we made it, its our language)

but i prefer Grid Iron to football, the english league is boring now

Nah, Viera's just gona to Madrid so that's taken about 25% of Arsenal away. I reckon United or Chelsea for the title.

Crow

Football (UK) is the best. I doubt anyone apart from Perfect Agent watches it. And the Premiership rulessss. And I think we should have a mini-bookie for the soccer for us soccer lovers

Viper

Actually, I have a feeling we may get a few UK sports fans over here sometime soon and a vBookie will be made for it.

I can't guarantee when so I can't tell you if it will make it in time for the season to start there.

I watch football(soccor) and personally prefer it to american football but that's mainly because soccor's the biggest sport in the UK and american football which is kinda like what we call rugby isn't big atall.....

Real madrid get there money from places outside of the club PA is probably right though but they are actually in debt just like 99% of other teams...chelsea being the 1% lol

I think we should do a mini betting league on the english premiership for the people here that understand soccor but not american football and than if anyone wants to join in just to try it they can and than everyone will be happy

And yes the english premiership is boring but it wont be this year as liverpool are using the wings and passing the ball and arnt relying on owen to score so they will be a better team and than you have man utd...arsenal....chelsea and than the lower teams i think will do well such as tothenham

Crow
08-25-2004, 10:07 AM
^they cant rely on Owen...he aint there

Kay B
08-25-2004, 02:34 PM
^they cant rely on Owen...he aint there\

That's my point.....in the past liverpool hit balls over the top relying on owens pace and now that he has left they MUST find a new way as even though baros and cissee are as good in my view they are not as fast so liverpool must start using the wings and passing the ball across the ground which they have doe in recent games and it has proved to work and will make the a better team

Soccer is so freaking boring. I've watched tons of soccer games, and there is nothing that keeps me entertained. They just kick the ball back and forth and score maybe 3 times a game. It's fricking ridiculous.

Football has so much more variety. You don't know what's coming next, could be a pass, run, flea flicker, anything!

PA is right. You have to have an appreciation for the game (which not a damn one of you do) to be able to watch and enjoy it. Unfortunately, it is harder than hell to get a decent game on T.V. where I am.
