I only have 800 MB left before my speed gets capped and there is 10 more days remaining on my billing cycle... so I will have to wait.

^ Good god....They are starting to cap bandwith in Australia..

I have heard of the talk of it for some time, but I have not know anyone effected by it untill now. How much do you get a month?

I have a pirated copy of XP, and here those service packs play hell with those copies.

I don't even have service pack 1, and I've been happy so far.

I have a copy of xp....for free...which plays well with SP1...

Works well. You might want to try for the "PIRATED COPIES WILL EXPLODE!" warning is just a bunch of hooey in most cases. Better to have the updates for at least SP1.

I'll wait for a while. Will a window come up letting you know when to download it?

Yes, good to wait on SP2, but SP1 is reccomended. Almost all Xp users have SP1.

Windows update will have SP2 added within a few weeks to allow you to update through windows update.

DO NOT CLICK DOWNLOAD IF YOU ARE UPDATING JUST ONE COMPUTER:
A smaller, more appropriate download will be available soon on Windows Update. To receive this download, turn on the Automatic Updates feature in Windows XP to receive an optimized download of SP2. Please visit Protect Your PC for more information on receiving Windows XP SP2.

The current one available is for networking systems. It is designed to be used on multiple computers and has a lot of extra stuff a single system does not need.

The official home version will be ready in about two weeks.
