I'm open for any help. Does anyone have anything to add, or anything to warn me about? Does anyone have any alternatives that might give me about the same performance as the products I have selected, but for a lower price? I'm lookin' at you nuke...I haven't checked most of the prices on pricewatch.com yet, so they might be a little lower. I'm worried that I am going TOO all out on this. I'm not a hardcore gamer, I just wouldn't mind playing the occasional game of UT2k4 or Halo.

Don't forget keyboard/mouse/monitor/WinXP/Norton......

Other than that, not a bad set up. It will run the hell out of both of those games.

Get most of that on ebay for half that and new. Could find bigger ram on ebay but good choice of ram anyhow. If your not a hardcore gamer as you say an XP chip would work also.

You should try and build it yourself. It's not really that hard, and it'll be good experience. Just make sure you follow all the instructions, hold the components by their edges and make sure you're always touching the metal on the case and you should be golden.

Oh yeah, are you just going to put a stock heatsink and fan on there?

I am building it myself, these are the parts that i'm about to order. I was gonna leave the stock heatsink and fan until i got some more money for better ones. I'm not overclocking it, so I don't think it should be a problem to use the ones that came with the processor.

Hmm yea you should be ok with the stock heatsink.
