but i just came back from the first night of coventry (phish's last show, simulcasted to regal theaters), and it was utterly incredible.
the ability that phish has to play three sets, about two hours to three hours each of constant streaming music, each one having a jam at the end with all original solos and all original ideas is something to be admired.
even if you dont like phish, its an amazing accomplishment to go from writing songs like "david bowie" in a cabin alone with your dog to joining together with the greatest names in music as you please over a million phans.
