Oh well, a bad Pokemon title, it's about time this stupid franchise came to an end. Still, even though i don't like Pokemon, i'm surprised Nintendo didn't take advantage of the success of the series and make a proper 3D Pokemon adventure on GameCube.

It's okay, since they aren't passing it off as a video game. They're selling it for next to free as something extra for the GBA games. It seems mostly like 1) another attempt at making use of GCN/GBA connectivity and 2) making a few extra bucks off of the games.

Yes, I highly doubt this will be the last Pokemon GC game. There's been so much talk about a real Pokemon RPG, I wouldn't be surprised if one pops up at E3.

maybe u should realize that every-fucking-single pokemon game has been the exact same thing, the 1st set of games was ok but then the 2nd came out, and it was the exact same-fucking game, w/ one difference, it was in color (whoop-de-friggin-doo), now Nintendo is trying to recycle the exact same thing w/ a new name, count me out. :asshole:

pokemon got too hung up in tv, cards, movies, etc. that people forgot how good of a game it was and just stuck with "omg itz kiddie," because little kids got into it.

i got like that too. i recently sat down and played through blue and gold again and noticed that it was a hella fine RPG. they arent reusing anything but the basic concept and thought of pokemon. yeah, it is getting a bit out of hand, but it is one of the best RPG's ever released.

it is NOT the exact same game with a few tweaks. each game gives one hundred more pokemon, new features, new animations, new people, new maps, everything.

color my ass. day and night. cell phone. taking care of the egg. fighting team rocket.

1) 100 new Pokefreaks: this is stupid because it makes a game that was too long to begin w/ even longer

2)new features don't make a game better, they just make it more complex

3)New animations and people: whoop-de-friggin-doo

4)New maps: hmmm? maybe its just me but i think that all of the town and street layouts of these "new" maps look kind of familiar

5)day and night: again another way the game was made to be overly complicated, it didn't need to have day and night to begin w/

6)taking care of the egg: see above

7)fighting team rocket: oh yeah, like that's fun anymore after u've supposedly "beat" them and ruined their "evil" corporation 50 million times, and anyways the new games don't even have team Rocket in them (or so ive heard)

so in conclusion, im not jumping on the bandwagon, the games are too repetitive, over hyped, and the "great" new features are pieces of shit. if anyone's jumping on the wagon, its u beotch!:hump:

I think that this series has been beat down too much, if they have to pull this game out of the dump, they have to make it appeal to older people maybe something better then a pokemon fainting... that was a stupid idea in the first place, im not talking gore, but domething more hardcore than fainting..

second they need to make 3D like so many people have suggested

and last they have to market it not like a kids game, but like a good game that people older than the age of 10 will like. (i.e. picking a new mascot, pikachu was so beat into the dust for the many years that pokemon has been out)

nigel, so youre saying that the only good aspects of a game are short, no features or addins, and no challenge? you want to be able to beat it in about 12 hours (rpg), and never want to pick it up again?

with pikachu, thats the market tool for the movies and TV show. it has no affect on the game except for Pokemon Yellow. pikachu is nothing more than a pokemon in the other games.

the series has not been beaten down by games. the series has been beaten down by a kiddie reputation on television and the movie theater.

here we go again.

ok basically the first pokemon was an ok game, not stellar but not bad either. i thought that it had plenty of replay and couldn't put it down 4 awhile.

I thought it would end there, but then gold and silver came out, i played that game and again thought it was ok, but i thought that all of the extra features didn't have much of a point, seeing as how u could easily "beat" the game w/out worrying about night and day and the eggs.

now nintendo, is "improving" on a game that has been dragged on too long and destroyed the attention of almost any casual pokemon gamer by adding way too many compliciated things and yet another 100 pokemon.

i think that if they want to keep the series going they should come up w/ something new and different real fast
