If you bought your cmoputer in the store, it should have a recovery disk of some sort, right?

The windows ME disk is bootable, even if it isn;t a recovery disk.
Just need to put it in the CD-Drive and restart your computer. Follow the options to do a full format. Windows XP and 98 CDs are bootable too.
You will probably need to set the boot order in the computer's BIOS. You can usually get in by pressing "F1, F2, F5, F8, Delete, or Tab before windows starts to load. Every computer has a diffrent key, thses are just some common ones. Find the boot order and place the CD drives first. Then save and exit.
Well the easest way to do it is to just make a start up disk (my computer control pannel add/remove programs and klick the start up disk tab)sorry i could not talk on aim my dad made me get off hope this helps^_^.
