will mortal kombat, well....come back?

Mortal Kombat was king of the fighters at one point, but can it really regain it's title as king now that it's been a long time absence? a lot of great fighters have really push the fighting genre, but none like MK. I think it has a 50-50 chance of being a good fighter again. more likely than not im rooting for MK, we need fatalities!

It would be very cool if MK got to be the king of the fighters again, but i doubt it. The new MK game that is supposed to be released for all the console seems kinda OK, but not as good as the old MK games. But, ya never know, the new game might be better than the old ones. Hopefully, the fatalities will still be there.

new mk are ok but compared to older ones like mk2 and mk3 they really SUCK!!! 3D graphics just dont go with mortal kombat

I'll take old school MK over the 'new' 3D MK any day of the week.

Mortal Kombat was damn cool years ago. I'll give Deadly Alliance a rental, I hope it's alright since the MK series has been crap lately.

Mortal Kombat was probably the coolest thing a while back .... the 'thing to talk about'. It was so successful that two movies were made after it.

I hope Mortal Kombat can atleast gain some recognitions with Deadly Alliance.

The new one is a completely different game, Like gameplay wise, and the graphics are way out there, you havent even seen it, you havent tried, it, its different, read up on it people!

I was Mortal Kombat mad back in about 1995... I loved those games...

It's weird because I don't even like fighting games anymore (with the exception of SSB of course ;)).

What would this MK be... MK5..?

Yeah.... but they didn't name it that cause they are like starting over, ( with the exception of some characters and concepts )

I am one of the biggest MK fans i know... if u know what i mean :) and i would never abandon the legendary mk series after just one sucky 3d mk game, mk4, and im gonna at least try deadly alliance before i say anything... if i think it sucks after i try it, so be it... but the whole concept has been changed, the grapchics are supposed to be awesome, and most of the original mk characters are back; zub zero, scorpion, reptile, kung lao, shangtsung etc. etc.

I think it looks interesting, although i DO prefer the old school 2d version over the wannabe-3d mk4 game... but u gotta remember that mk4 was sort of an experiment for akklaim / midway... it was in the early years of 3d-fighting... so u cant really blame them... :)

What are you people talking about? Mortal Kombat DA will/should be alot better then the 2d games. Think of Dead or alive, Tekken, and Virtua Fighter 4....now imagine them being better, having fatalaties, weapons, and mortal kombat characters :D.

Cheat_Master, i think you can't really compare something that hasn't come out. how do you know it's anywhere near tekken,VF or DOA? i won't say the 3d MK is gonna be better than the 2d because the 2d MK are proven classics, 3d MK has yet to prove that it can work.
