there is no possible way to open a beer can quietly

why r they so fuckin loud, isnt it the same metal, its carbonated just like a coke. it should be just as quiet as a coke is to open.

Isn't it the yeast inside of it? It presses against it, causing more sound....(I think)

That's why I stick with Coors Light bottles. Nice and quiet.

My guess is that it just SEEMS louder because you don't want anyone to hear it. When you open a can of pop, it's done in a casual fashion since you don't care if anyone knows, but when you drink... that's a different story. You and a few friends are sitting in the basement getting ready to have a few, so you quietly try to open one and.... CRACK! It's loud as hell! With a pop can, no one gives it any thought. On a beer can, you're trying to be sneaky and not get caught. Just my theory.
