I'm glad this forum was made because we are under a year away from the unvieling of the next generation game systems, and specuating is just fun. So what do you want to see next gen (this does not have to be Nintendo-specific), what are you afraid of seeing next-gen, and anything else you want to say regarding next gen.

PS3 and Xenon don't really intrest me that much, because i simply can't afford to be a multiple system order (especially with college next year), and I have noy yet needed to look further than a Nintendo console and computer, so my focus will cleary be on the Nitendo Revolution.

When I first heard the code name of Nintendo's next system (coupled with seeing the Nintendo DS's innovations) I was very excited, but also nervous. I do not fear Nintendo's graphic abilities to be inferior to the competition, but i do fear the system being too unique for it's own good. Hopefully Nintendo knows this (and I belive they do as they are trying to open up more and more as GameCube's life approaches a close), and hopefully the next system will be unique, but still be able to play the same games we are accustomed to playing now. As we can see with games like Animal Crossing, The Sims, Wario Ware, KOTOR, games can be very innovative without a massive change to the way games are played, even Nintendo DS can play ordinary games (it does play GBA).

What I really want from Nintendo is more of a revolution of the company itself rather than a unique product like the DS, of course a mix of both worlds would be best. I want Nintendo to continue creating the amazing games they create, but I want them to continue evolving as they have started doing the past few years. Right now the GCN is seeing a pretty upward increase of third-party exclusive support, and I hope that Nintendo continues this and captures even more exclusives like RE4 or FFCC, because the games make the system, and strong exclusives will bring in the fan base Nintendo once had, meaning nothign but goodness for us loyal fans.

The other major change I (and everyone else) wants to see is Nintendo's entrance into the online world. I understand Nintendo's reasoning for avoiding online, but once Revolution comes out, online really will be neccessary for success that both the PS3 and Xenon are bound to recieve. The desire to not charge for online is admirable, but I would much rather have the ability to pay a monthly (or more likely a yearly) fee for Nintendo "Live" and I hope that Nintendo gives us the option for such even if they can't find a free way to online, without it the Revolution will be in a lot of trouble.

Well that's my short answer (have to go to work), so what do you all want?

I was thinking the same thing with the revolution how it might be too much difference. I won't mind if it stayed kinda the same but just had add on features that made the console more interactive.

I think Sony and Microsoft have to have a lower initial price. Majorly Microsoft considering thats what probably hurt them the most. But I really don't know enough about the next generation enough to really give a great answer.

I'm looking forward to all of them anyway.

I really want Nintendo to do a lot of things but for now I just want to hear that they will go online. First the weakness then everything else will be easy like lubricated protection as opposed to non-lubricated protection.

I dont think enough information has been revealed yet about any of the next batch of consoles for anyone to make an accurate decesion on which one intrest them the most. In all honesty, we know of hardly anything about all 3 of them.

But, I look forward to Xenon. My Xbox has greatly pleased me and I will most likely look to the Revolution as a 2nd system.

I want more T and M rated games and online play (for revolution) so that all of the stupid asses who bitch about them not being there will shut the hell up.

*Is angry. Not sure why, but very angry*

I want the tooViper theory to be correct about the revolution...that way no other competion could compete...in essence, a Ds type demographic, with psp power...upgraded to console status...oh no, there's a flaw...I need to talk to Viper now...

Thats sounds pretty cool. I think I would like to see atleast a slight change with the controllers just to make it feel more new. I like that idea of 1 GC being able to connect up to multiply TVs.

I'd like to add to that since my ideas are very similar or related.

-I'm sure we can stick tons of controller slots to the machine but I think 8 is better. Why? Well the idea is that 4 screens on one TV is good enough. Then you have more slots and the idea of connecting more TVs to one console. So if you have one TV and you add another one then 8 screens is already there. I'm sure people have more TVs than GCNs so you can just connect two for one system. Now if you buy one more console you have extra 8 players.

-With wireless controllers you could have an optional wire for charging the rumble if it isn't possible to do wireless rumble w/o batteries.

-harddrives are cheaper than mem cards. Its just that mem cards can be taken with you. Also of course people will use harddrives then you don't have to worry too much about space.
