DAmn the stupid australian classification board retards! damn them!!

after that whole stupid kid in america killing his friend and his parents blaming manhunt so they didnt get the blame, i emailed my mum in oz and asked her to grab me a copy of manhunt before they banned it. so she went out the next day and put it on lay-by at EB for me and left it at that, thinking it would be alright now that its on layby she just lef tit for a while.

now my family was on holidays this week and not in town and while they were gone EB was told manhunt was de-classified and they had to de-stock it immedietly, including lay-by copies. So the inevitable happened and it got banned because of some stupid parents in america and i missed out on a copy

woe is me......:cry2:

damn the OFLC!!! first they take hookers out of GTA3 and now this!

its radiohead man, :headbang:

Man, i loved manhunt when i rented it. I heard it from mum. she wrote me an email and said that EB said that `it got de-classified and they had to immedietly send back EVERY copy to wherever games come from, even the lay-bys. man i`m pissed. i loved that game. Personally, i reckoned it the funnest stealth game i had ever played, soely because it took more than one day to finish, unlike MGS2.

man i`m so pissed..................

That has to be bullshit. It's a textbook case of video games getting the blame for something they didn't do. And if they really did take it out, just wait, they'll put it back. It's illegal to do shit like that.

Australia has seen no reform in this area it's still like were stuck in the 30's or something. I mean hell it's alright to Rent R rated Sex, Blood, Horror, gore films but if polys / sprites are featured.... OMG it's a million times worse than anything you though Michel Jackson did too little boys. (SOME GTA QUOTE???)

Now i'm not saying that I want to play games were you rape people [Rape man anime/ Game] or look at nude women all day (like those jap games :susp: ) but a situation like manhunt highlights this oversight in our stupid classifications, same with GTA III & VC that got banned from Australia, and had to be re-sold modded without some textures and sex ( for the purpose of gaining health or so i've heard )

yup those 10 000 or so a year gun related deaths were all faked by MM to make America look bad.

But not once does he mention the number of lives saved because someone protected themselves from some crackhead trying to break into a house or to rape some woman.

When someone avoids the other side of the issue, its propaganda.

I thought Australians liked guns?

nah, just Dosey.

*wonders how this turned into a Michael Moore arguement....AGAIN. runs before viper turns up*

it probably will turn up again but with a lot less violence. if i buy a softer version and the heads dont explode when i hit them with a baseball bat i think i might take a baseball bat of my own to the OFLC.........or cricket bat, either is good. man i`m so pissed.

OFLC stands for Office of film and Literature Classification, BTW, if you didnt know.

but yeah they always fuck things up. when GTA3 first got released, since it was more violent than any ratings that australia had, they had the logical idea to release it without a rating!wtf?that way absolutely anyone was able to buy it and play it. then the shit hit the fan when 10yo kids started driving around and picking up hookers, haveing sex and then runnig them over so they just completely banned it instead of giving it an MA rating. gaming mags were spewing shit for years, the official ps2 mag still is, now that i think of it.

we do .. I love guns, however after the port Arthur massacre rigid gun control was put in place, something impossible in the USA because of the power of the NRA.

It happened in the UK, I'd really wish you'd research this stuff before you run your mouth about the USA and violence.

In the UK, the parents of a teenage murder victim have blamed the crime on the Rockstar game Manhunt. The parents of Stefan Pakeerah, 14, said their son was lured to a park by a 17-year-old player of the game, who stabbed and beat their son to death with a knife and claw hammer.

is that the same thing? the one i heard was definetly said to be in usa. but i only read about it on here, i might be wrong but i couldnt care less what country it happened in, still shouldnt be banned.

and the USA IS overly stupidly violent.

We have credit cards but the dingoes keep eating them since we dont have any guns to shoot them. :barf:

Yup. But watch out. We can handle someone getting their head blown off in movies and stuff... but if they show a boob... god people go berserk!

If you don't know what that's all about it's some movie thing their fighting about around here... I'll see if i can dig up a link

EDIT: HAHA! Found it. Puppet Sex. (http://www.latimes.com/news/custom/showcase/la-fi-puppet5oct05.story) If you think it sounds stupid... wait till you click it.

^^ WITH the huge population the US is bound to have allot of opinions ranging from the everyone should own a gun, and blow any MOFO's away that enter your property to OMG mega bad Janet Jackson’s tit on TV. Ok kids no more TV till your 21.

I mean I’m getting of track here but recently I voted and they had like the marijuana legalisation party, and the Gun’s for Australia party. It’s only a matter of time before we become Jr USA

^yeah that was so funny. the senate ballet also had a fishing partry and [best one] `The Great Australians` roflmao. so fucking geh.

who`d you vote for ben? i went with labour but i heard howard won AGAIN dammit.

Freeman_JI

Liberal,
thought in 4 years as long as Latham does not stuff up then Labour, i just don't think Latham is ready to rumble, and i like how Australia's going at the moment. So as you guess the majority of Australians voted the same way i did, Howard won no probs.

if Ian Mcfarlin was Labour i probably would have voted that way.

EDIT: UNI fees wen't up 25%. On top of that My student Admin wen't from $120 Bulk fee per year.. to $50 per unit, which adds to $400 :(
