ESPN vs EA

Seems Visual Concepts is finally getting the glory they deserve putting EA in it's place as to who makes the better game.

But, the real question is; which do you prefer? Personally, I think Sega always made the better sports game ever since the Sega Saturn days. Visual Concepts is a wonderful devolpment team and at the bargain price of $20 for ESPN games you cant loose. Hell, I saw ESPN NBA 2k5 for $14.99 in a Best Buy flyer today. Now, if we could only see ESPN soccer to compete with Fifa.

I like EA because SEGA doesen't have GC sports games anymore. SEGA is sure doing a good job competing. I was surprised to see that NHL 2005 was so low rated comparted to ESPN NHL 2K5 though. I love my NHL 2005 but I've never played the ESPN one.

Well yes and no... on xbox at least ESPN is better than EA's offerings in every possible way.

for cube owners EA's love holds tight

for PS2 owners SEGA and EA are close. But more PS2 owners have been brought up on Madden so....

I prefer ESPN NFL 2k5 over Madden 2005 but I guess thats just my opinion.

Sega can offer the same or better quality of games for a lower price than EA.

I've always liked SEGA's Basketball and Hockey games better than EA's, but this year was the first year I felt like their football game really challenged Madden.

I like both companies, and I hope their competition is in it for the longrun.

I was once a EA fanboy but ESPN NBA but Sega beat their EA rivals, the basketball games weren't even close.
