Your NeXt Gen Decision: Consoles

Based on the perfermance and games of today's consoles (xbox, GC, and ps2), when next gen comes along, which company are you more likely to go with: the XBOX2? GAMECUBE2? PS3?

Though this is hard to consider since no specs, models, or virtually nothing has been released to the press . . just make your decision based upon your satisfaction with companies performance thus far and their future outlook . . are you happy with the company's performance, or would you most like next gen look elsewhere for your gaming needs . . . and remember, BE HONEST

I'll play my XBox for quite some time, until the XBox 2/Next/whatever's price drops. I really don't understand why people buy consoles at launch, they always go down after a little bit (or atleast stuff is included).

Nintendo all the way, been with them forever. If you like Rare, hmm, Free Radical and Zoonami are both making games on Nintendo's consoles. There are more Rare employees on those teams than in Rare itself. Rare lost their spirit. I loved they're N64 titles (besides Conker, cuz i really wanted 12 Tales). Now that Rares out, Square will help more with N.

Free Radical sucks, and Zoonami takes longer than Rare to make a game. And Square will help Nintendo out more? :p Don't count on it.

Though the crew is from RARE, Free Radical and Zoonami haven't proven themselves yet as huge assets to neone . . .

and also i dont agree that Rare has lost its spirit . . yes there was the SFA bomb but the year or two before that there was: Conker, Banjo Tooie, and Perfect Dark -- it will just be interesting how working with M$ influences their games now

since i felt like a jackass buying the GCN at full price then a couple months later it's cheaper then couple more months w/ a free game.
i'm probably going to wait until all three has a price drop and buy whichever one has the game i want.

man, i've loved nintendo forever, but they only have a handful of games that i'd like. and the rate at which they're comin out........sucks. plus, i see them dying into a software company in the future.

microsoft, well, they stole halo from the computer, and so far thats the only game that i'd want for it. everything else is a graphics display with poor gameplay. the other good game (splinter cell) is more fun on the computer, so i'd have no reason for getting it on xbox.

sony would be my choice, they spit out quality games all the time, even though they have their share of shitty ones. they have final fantasy, grand theft auto, and tribes games, and'll be spittin out more in the future.

I'll buy myself a PS3 first, but probably not for a while after launch unless there's a must play game on it like MGS4 or something...

i'd prolly buy a PS3 and the neXt nintendo system,
that way i get the nintendo exclusives and sony's exclusives as well . . the best in the biz, imo
