.....i borrowed MTV music generator off my friend once for a week?
nah, i dont know anything about making music but i really want to learn drums or something when i get back to oz next year. i chose drum cause it looks the easiest. like you just smash things, no bullshit about notes or anything.
I do actually :)
I took a Music Theory class last year, which taught me a whole lot about how to make my own songs.... I have some MIDIs on my desktop computer of a few songs I've written.... I'll try to upload them tomorrow.
Im the drummer for my band. Been playing for 8 years. And I also know how to write music as well.

I write my own music for my band, which has just me since no one likes FOlk/Celtic Metal around my area. :( I'll record me on the guitars some time and post it up.

I'm gonna be in a band with a couple guys. We're gonna go record a CD sometime before the year is over. Nothing big or anything, just a small local label.
Oh yeah, I'm the drummer.
I've also toyed around with making simple songs on just the computer, since I don't know how to play guitar or anything.
Well, good luck coming up with 800 dollars.

I use Fruity Loops 3 to make some techno. I also have a strange band called Cold Eden for which I am the drummer, do the keyboards, play guitar and do vocals. There are a bunch of us, and we swap instruments around quite frequently when the need arises. Cold Eden only has four solid members, and a bunch of musicians who come along to jam on Tuesdays and Fridays.

I was playing guitar in a band right after high school but now I just jam at home. I've got a Dean DS/90 that I've had since '98.

Sounds like a lot of fun! We should find a directory to upload mp3:s of our music so we get a clue what all this mussic sounds like

*paste* I wish I knew how to expertly play the Reason program on computer.
But yeah, I really want to learn Reason...

Not really, well, I guess it is. Only a few bands do Celtic Style metal, others just imitate it sticking either too close to metal or too close to folk. Eluveitie does a great job of mixing it up, giving all the instruments equal share, which is what I intend to do. Not focusing to much on one the whole time.

One of two lead guitarist in an old school metal band called Unholy Alliance. I do most of the writing, while the other gutarists contributes a bit. My specialty is writing big heavy riffs, Black Sabbath style, while our other guitarist likes to write melodies more, Iron Maiden style. I'd say it's a pretty good mix. We're going into the studio as soon as we get a couple more songs solidified.

Actually, I have $4,000 in the bank, so comming up with $800 isn't really a problem. Especially considering we're splitting the cost.

Pretty good, dude. I always love it when people start making electronica. When you aren't confined by an instrument, your true musical style reflects very heavily in what you produce.
I'd upload some of the stuff that I made...If I had somewhere to put it.
(Cold Eden stuff isn't really worth listening to right now, but when it is, you'll hear from me).
