This goes for all religious beliefs. No more derragotory or disrespectful discussions. You don't like it go find a forum that does.

Besides not being a disscussion, Spatula was only saying the word/name 'Jesus'.
He never made clear what context he used the word in, be it disrespectful or otherwise.
As it stands, Spatula's use of the name 'Jesus' has no negative or positive connotations.

Also, that rule applies to the disscussions where people mock other people's religions for no real reason.
Spatula was not mocking anyone at all.
Spatula was not judging anyone or anyone's beliefs.
Spatula is not the only person in the world who says 'Jesus' as an exclamation as opposed to always being a name.
The rule would only apply to if Spatula had used the name 'Jesus', as opposed to the exclamation 'jesus'.

Everyone has the power to ignore anyone's use of whatever words they find to be disrespectful, and in this case the word in question is very commonly used and not meant to be disrespectful.
For such minor infringment technicalities, surely a blind eye can be turned.
People swear and insult each other, but as soon as someone says 'jesus' the law must be laid down?
I understand that your religion must mean a lot to you, but small things like this just seem so petty.
But I guess you could post a suggestion that the admins but some kind of censorship on religion-related words, but if you do, put a poll up too.

Note::
Any use of the word 'Jesus' or 'jesus' in this post was meant with no disrespect at all.
Any use of any religion-related words were meant with no disrespect at all.
None of the above post was meant with any disrespect at all.

right now is when you listen to boggy, because in this case he is one of the greatest men to ever post.

i was using the term 'jesus' as one would use an exclamation, i was not using it as a person and directly downgrading the importance of that person.

its foolish to say something like you said, because it makes you seem the opposite of smart.

dont take me out of context.
dont take that post out of context.

if i were to say "oh jesus fucking christ, that asshole was such a fucking 'tard, its a good thing the damn romans killed him," you would have a point.

its the same as the "no racial posts or insinuations."

now, if youll excuse me, i just got a 100th band to listen to.

Are you Christian Spatula? Because if you were, you'd know I WASN'T taking you out of context. I even specifically said that I know you didn't intend it to be insulting. And quite frankly, I have nothing against you, a lot of people do it here. This was just the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak. You people don't think it's insulting because of the context....well it is, take it from me, a devout Catholic. You don't know what does and doesn't offend me. Now look, I don't want to start a whole war over this, I'd just really like it if people stopped saying it...no not saying it, but actually typing it out! It's not like you just slipped and said it, you thought it through and typed it out. I find it very offensive. I know when somebody finds something I do offensive, I try to stop. I really don't see what the big deal is.

It doesn't matter how many people agree or disagree with Boggy, it doesn't matter how many people aren't offended by this. One person at least is, and that's enough. If I say the word n!gger and somebody reads it in an offensive way, well, I'm gonna shut my damn mouth and not say it anymore, regardless of whether I thought it was offensive or not. Be respectful of other's beliefs. I don't care how it was intended, it's offensive. You do not use the name of the Lord so lightly, it's very disrespectful, whether it was meant to be or not.

no, gollum, im a dedicated and devout jew.

ill stop saying it as frequently as i am now for you, but im not going to change my fucking vocabulary. this isnt ign, you know?

i understand your problem and some people are majorly offended by the word and i can respect that. but when im around my friends (or e friends in this case) i dont see any reason to hold back myself.

Gollum youre a very nice person.. and i like you... but this is a bit to much to ask.
If someone say jesus as an exclaimation and its used in a positive way youre not supposed to be offended. He didnt use it as a curse.
Also there are milions of people in this world who wears the name Jesus.
It is not blasphemy to say the name jesus.
Actually in the way he said it, hes calling for jesus to help him(even though he a jew)
the underlying meaning was probably like: "Jesus help me, this is insane. Ninteynine bands"
That is the core meaning when someone says jesus in an exclaimation like this one. Even if youre not christian.

I dont wanna put words in spatulas mouth, but that is how i would preciev it.

Well look I'm sorry this got blown into such a huge thing. I'll take all that into consideration from now on. I do understand where you're coming from, and I think you understand where I'm coming from, and this argument isn't really helping things any, so let's just forget about the whole thing.

"Blessed are you when men reproach you, and persecute you, and, speaking falsely, say all manner of evil against you, for my sake."
-Matthew 5:11
