I saw a trailor on TV yesterday. I thought Vader looked bad too. His costume looked like something you woud see somebody wearing on Halloween.

What a state of being to be in. I know with a reasonably high level of certainty that Episode three is going to suck, yet I know too that I'll almost certainly spend the $8.50 to see it. Doesn't matter that Lucas has ruined Star Wars. He's still got my money!

COOL! I'm looking foward to it. Err, looks like a child in that vader costume...

Does anyone have a link that works, does not require d/l of another movie player, does not require membership, and if you still don't get it at this part of the question then something that uses Window Media Player?

I heard the trailer had Chewbacca leading an army of wookies. That sounds sweet as hell.

Yeah really, I thought the trailer was awesome. I can't wait for this movie. Only bad part is Samuel L. Jackson dies :cry2:

Yeah, it'll be Chewbacca escaping from the prison that he's in. I'm not even a big Star Wars fan and I know that.

This movie will suck. It will be better then Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, but will still be worthless. If I hadn't seen the other five, much like Galcian, I would not be going to see it. Instead, I shall be dressing up as Captain Picard trying to piss off the hardcore fanatics. And then I shall talk throughout the entire movie and will not get kicked out since I know 99% of the people who work at the theatre.

Look's OK I don't really like the new Star Wars movies but I still watch them. And the short bit with yoda looks like shit, look at the walls behind him.

Now that's what I call some shitty CG work.

umm, in episode 4, it is common knowledge that Yoda and Obi Wan are the only Jedi left.

Think about it for a second.

Yeah plus in the trailer you hear Obi-Wan telling Luke about how Vader helped the Sith hunt down and kill all the Jedi.

Wow! That looks awesome! Although I thought the Vader thing was a bit too much. I would have prefered if somehow they didn't let people know about it at all unless they watched it off of kazaa or something.

Not exactly. The stories that have expanded Lucas' story have disproved that, but in the focus of the movies it is accurate.

Dude, Grievous will die pretty early in this film.

Early in the film Obi Wan is supposed to be tracking him down to take care of him. However, later in the film Obi Wan's struggle will be with Anakin. This will require Grievous to die, seeing as how he isn't around for Episode 4.

The only way I see him surviving to the end is if Vader kills him, though this is doubtful as he will become Vader after he is scarred in battle with Obi Wan, leaving him in bad condition to fight. Either that or The Emporer, but he wouldn't kill him, seeing as how he is helping his cause.

My predictions are that Obi Wan will track Grievous down for around 60 minutes tops before killing him and returning to face Anakin.

Keep in mind that these are just my theories, though they are based on a lot of snippets of info I have tracked down.

Sad, because Grievous is the main reason I want to see this.

This will be the best of the trilogy, but thats a given. As long as Christensen and Portman actually try to act, the movie should be fine because the story, however predictable it may be, will have the sense of a Greek tragedy to it.

man, i was only thinking like a week ago "man, when the hell is episode 3 gonna be released?"

this is gonna be freakin awesome. just for all the stuff that has to happen in it. LIke the fight with Obiwan and Anikin, the end of the jedi, the ending of the old republic, han and chewbacca, luke and leia, so much. its gonna be sweet. when`s it coming out? i`ll have to go watch Clones again before it does, only saw that once. man, can`t wait.

do you reckon they`ll actually bother to ever make an 8,9,10? i know Lucas wrote the scripts [he wrote all 9 scripts back before the first star wars was made] but i think he has since decided not to make them.

Ok 2 questions: Who is Greivous, and who is that hideous Sith with the lines running down his face, like right after the scene with all the wookies?

Thanks in advance

Well that link seems to be dead, but if you're talking about the one I think you are (white face, cloak), its Darth Sidious, aka Emporer Palpatine.

^No it wasn't him...he had like a yellowish face and crooked fangs. I'll try to find a picture if I can.

I don't understand, whats wrong with the way vador looks. He looks exactly the same as in 4-6 except a little smaller which is to be expected.

I was reading tons of stuff on TheForce.net, and everyone who's seen the finished product have all said that Vader killing Obi Wan in Episode 4 has so much more meaning and is a lot more emotional to them now.

Pro A.
11-09-2004, 04:26 AM
Yeah, it does. The story has finally come full circle and a lot of the events were starting to become prominent in Episode IV after II came out. Episodes I-III have finally been shown as a true Greek tragedy and it does give me a little more sympathy for the films than I had in the past.

If they do decide to make VII, VIII, and IX, more power to them. Only note: They have to coincide with a lot of fan-fiction that Lucas personally authorized. About fifty books, hundreds of comics, and a few video games. Lucas gave the green light to them. They are the extension of the story. The final three episodes will be the chain on the other end of the bridge.

shadowrunner
11-09-2004, 04:35 AM
problem if they did release more movies then a heap of the unauthorised fan fiction would be screwed but seeing they all screw each other anyway thats no problem. man i can`t wait to see this. did anyone say when it was coming out?

Again, the Lucas stuff outside of the movies has to help fill in the gaps. Basically, as a Cliffs' Notes. They fought in major wars for several thousand years with the Jedi and got wiped out to one. That one survivor started teaching to one person for over a thousand years, passing it down generation to generation, and it eventually got to Palpatine, somehow.

Blaksmoke
11-09-2004, 04:54 AM
Yeah, there are lke, a zillion littel Jedi running around now being trained by Luke, and Chewbacca died somehow...

EDIT: I should prolly tag that...

that was a shit book.....

Blaksmoke
11-09-2004, 04:59 AM
Dunno. Must've been an old one. Boba Fett and Han are almost sixty but the authors of the books still keep their rivalry going for some reason. I guess because It's more interesting than the new stuff their pulling out of their asses.

Mirai

han and chewbacca
Lucas has stated indefinitely that Han isn't in this film.

He never wrote the scripts (that anyone knows of), he wrote 12 page treatments (outlines) of each film.
