classic was cool, but I think the whole "armor upgrades" you get in the X series just made the game sweet. Also the golden armor and secret abilities rocked!

But Rush jet and the super adapter from 9 were also cool...

It's hella cool, especially since it lets you play as Bass...and then you get a superadapter type upgrade...its an awesome game, give it a try, perhaps on an emulator?

I have to go with Classic. MegaMan 2 and MegaMan 3 are 2 of my favorites games of all time. MegaMan X is also one of my favorites but nothing beats the classics.

I've only played 1, 2, & 3 of the classics on Gameboy, and 1, 2, & 3 of the X series.

oh! and 1 from NES.

and Soccer.

I like the X series best, but classic is full old-school.

true classic had the basics, which I love so dearly, but the X series came to have a sidequest type deal with the armor capsules...
