Aren't there already alot of other threads about this? You could have posted this in one of those and besides the movie wasn't THAT bad but the original was better though.

I basically agree with gloth's analysis. There were times where I felt that I was watching moments that should have been scary, but were not. It is a scary movie, but it never achieves the suspension of disbelief that is so essential to this type of movie.

That movie sucked ass, I know that the trailer was good but that was it... you will kick yourself in the head for seeing it (the world record for the number of times someone has kicked himself in the head in a minute was 38 times)

I just came back from watching the movie, and it was awful. I was really spooked out the first 15-20 mins of the film, but after that it got too repetitive and it was too obvious. They could have made it much scarier, but what can i say, the american audience (popcorn moviers) wouldn't have accepted Japanese horror.

The Grudge Sucked
Agreed. Second worst movie of the year, only second to Sky Captain.
Wasn't scary at all, almost all the sequences that were meant to be scary were exactly the same. Dumb over used concept, and the director even used some elements from the Ring, he sucks as a director.

Ever since I saw the commercial.... I never wanted to see it. I want to see Saw, however.

interesting thought, my friend. but you know what, simulating orgasms is something that HAS TO BE done by a robot, like me. a real human being (like a healthy male) who's simulating an orgasm would be pretty dumb if you ask me. I mean, what's the point ? you want your sperm to come out of your penis, you don't want to fucking fake it.
but then again, I honestly never thought that a real human simulating orgasms was highly rated. With that said, it's absolutely impossible for it to be overrated. which is why you're thought was dumb.
no wait, you are dumb.

Cinema is just as much art as music or a book, if you think cinema is over rated, possibly you're watching the wrong films.

I seen The Grudge yesterday. It was ok, it was sorta like The Ring in some ways, but still a good see.

you are kinda right.
it's as much art as music or books, that's right. but the I get the feeling that all of the movies sucks. I mean, I get the feeling that this (cinema) form of art is the most perverted form. fuck this whole hollywood shit, it's taking all over the place and interesting movies are not enough avalaible. I don't know really how to explain my thought on this point... I don't listen to the radio so I don't hear all that mainstream crappy music... but when I go to the cinema near of my house, it's just full of crappy hollywood movies. all the same, uninteresting. you gotta go to some real underground foreingh(sp?) movie theater to see good movies.
I just find that there are not enough movies. I mean, what good movies came out this year ? I can only name a few... and most of them were made HERE: in Québec......
