How do you guys shut off your gamecube? I just click the off button then take the game out. In the manual it says to open it then wait for it to stop spinning then take it out, then shut the system off. But I dont know anyone who does that.

The manual says that because when its on it has an auto-stop while the disc is spining when you open it. When you turn it off you have to wait a while. You don't want to stop the disc yourself. Thats how you keep the system living on after a while.

everytime you stop the disc spinning an angel loses its wings :nono:

i rarely remove my games from the console. funnest console to turn off was the SNES. you`d see how high you could make the cartridge jump by smashing the eject button. those were the days.....

I just turn it off. I change games by opening the lid, replacing the disc, and reseting.

I turn it off, open the lid, wait for the disk to stop spinning, take it out, then close the lid. Or I just turn it off and leave, leaving the disk in the cube because I'm gonn aplay that game again the next time I turn the gamecube on.

Turn it off and leave the game there until next time i play.

If I'm switching games, i lightly press the center button so the disk stops spinning, then pop it out.

I simply turn it off and remove the disc while it is in mid-spin.
