You know what I think? I think Nintendo should go 3rd party like sega. There I've said it. And I think it might be a possibility sometime in the future. I think it'd be great being able to play halo, gta, and nintendo's games all on one system. And I don't believe for one second that 'the day nintendo is out of the hardware business, is the day nintendo is out of the video game business'. Nintendo is here to make money and it's as simple as that.

The thing is Dork, they do make money, more than Sony and MS combined.

$600 million a year in profits and $7 billion in the bank can keep a company going a very long time.


Sega had none of this.

i want them to go third party so i can play the few really sweet nintendo games without haveing to buy the console. Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony and Sega should get together and make one big superconsole that plays everything!

Its like when everybody thinks of Nintendo, they think of failure and the failure being their home console. They're still doing pretty damn good with their Gameboys.

Competition breeds creativity. Wthout competition, you have rehashed games, uninspired stories and poor gameplay. Also, the companies get to charge whatever they want. Superconsole = Bad.

And the day Nintendo goes third party, is the day i quite playing video games.

Is that why everyone here feels so threatened by the PSP... It's Nintendo's last saving grace.

If nintendo had games on xbox or something I'd bet they'd sell more because microsoft would hype the hell out of them...and more people would give them credit...saying how metroid and zelda are so awesome. That's what I would like to see though, but on a nintendo console.

Jee I dunno. They still plan to support GBA and will put most of their time on DS and well I still haven't see what a GBE can do.

If you're talking about PSP and DS they're both comeptitors of different companies. If you're talking about DS and GBE then GBE won't be released for a while. Also I remember Virtual Boy also existing with the other two for a while also. It failed so yeah. I don't have a problem with multiple pillars its just that they need to make it worth having another pillar because they could be successors to the current home or handheld console. To me I see it as having Home and/or Handheld or both combined in a way.

Also Game Boy always was called Game Boy.

Game Boy Evolution

I, II, and III is unoriginal. PSP and PocketStation did better than that and it obviously had to.

Those are code names that people are thinking up. There is no real name for the next gameboy yet.
