I had to read it about two years ago, and it sucks. The guy takes like 2 pages to describe a flower. Poe sucks too. Bah.

I HAD to read it but I didn't, I had my friend do the assignment for me since he owed me. As a matter of fact, our whole class just cheated off one another. We had to do 2 Dialectal Journals per chapter as well as 3 character analysis. Our teacher is too slow to catch us :)

Our English class just finished reading it today

THANK GOD!!!!

It sucks except the end isn't bad

I love the Scarlett letter... Ive read it twice.
edit: It's not nearly as hard to read as Moby Dick, or any Faulkner novel. So it could be worse!

I never had to read this book in High School but I would have gladly read it. I don't know what you guys are talking about but detail is good. Two pages to describe a flower is a sign of a brilliant writer.

Oh, and Poe kicks ass.

The black adder went back in time and beat up shakespear over kids doing homework.

Few to on-one will understand that, but I have come to accept that as part of my forum life.

I've always wanted to check out Black Adder, I love Rowan Atkinson.

Black Adder is quality, 5x better than Mr Bean and 5000x better than the shitty film Johnny English.

We had a big test today on it, including 6 essays which I had 45 minutes to take. The essays took me half an hour, and I finished the whole test with 1 minute left.

The scarlet letter wasn't bad, I thought it was good. Sometimes it tended to drag, but lots of times it was good. Pearl was awesome, and so was Chillingworth.

That book does suck. I couldn't finish the first quiz and everybody was waiting for me to finish. It takes too long to understand one meaning of a sentence in that novel.

i had to read it last year. Even my English teacher d it, but it was a requirement to read. I even read almost the whole thing, but couldnt pay attention to over half of it. My only suggestion is sparknotes.

sparknotes.com , your one-stop destination to book help. unless you are reading something like rumble fish (past experience, still have not done that book report to make up a missed test 10 weeks ago). (damn).

So true...Moby Dick was ridiculous.

I had to read it last year and it wasn't bad, but that could of been because my teacher hated the book but was forced to teach it so for alot of the boring chapters he was like "heres what happened" so we could get through it.

I have a formal essay on a topic from the book due on Tuesday. I think I'll start on it tonight.
