Thought this would be a good idea, see what other people are reading.

I just picked up "the Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown.

So far I'm loving it.

Follow that up with the last book I purchased, Angels and Demons. As hard as it is to believe, it's actually better than Code.

Dude, try "How to win friends and influence people" by Andrew Carnegie. It is alone the same lines, and very useful. I was reminded of it because I have both it and Think and Grow Rich on CD (both unabridged), and the same guy does the audio for both of them.

I think the last book I bought was Order of the Phoenix last summer, but the next book I'm buying is definetly going to be State of Fear by Micheal Crichton. I loved Prey, and I've been waiting for him to get out a new book, so I definetly have to check this one out.

My sister bought me George Carlin's new book, When Will Jesus Bring the Porkchops, for Christmas. Funniest thing I've ever read (no, it's not about religion either, there's very little discussion of religion in the book).

In "Think and Grow Rich" they talk about Andrew Carnegie quite a bit. I will defenitly check out "How to win friends and influence people".

Well... you can't cause you don't have enough rep of your own to give other people a lot of rep...

... but for future reference, just click the little scale thing in the top right corner of someones post, then say "I approve" or "I disapprove," and leave a comment.

Anyhoot, I'm currently reading Treasure Island. I think Robert Louis Stevenson may be my all time favorite author... his books are so 1337.

heh funny that book was referenced in Crichton's State Of Fear which I just finished. Pretty addictive book after the first 100 pages and deals with what really goes on behind the mass-liberal environmental movement. Really great stuff for anyone who opposes extreme environmentalist groups like PETA.

The last book I actually bought though would be Russell Banks' Trailerpark for my AP Lit class. It was an odd book but as a collection of short stories it worked. My only gripe is that you're not really given a good grasp of the characters since it jumps around too much and since there's no real plot there seems to be a Hemingway effect from start to finish.
