3 years ago today, Sega launched it's newest system, the Sega Dreamcast. Let us today remember our fondest memories of the little off-white colored box. All the fun it gave us.

I will always remember played Sonic Adventure for the first time. Crazy Taxi was really fun, and to me Soul Calibur defined a fighting game.

Who could forget the commercials? "It's Thinking".

Good systems never die. I bought my DC this Summer at a pawn shop, it was dirty, and un-loved, however after a cleaning sessions, it looks almost brand new, well except for a black scratch on the side. I own 1 controller, 3 clear blue VMU's, Sonic Adventure, Jet Grind Radio, Shenmue, Sega Rally 2, Dead or Alive 2 and Psychic Force 2012.

Ironicly, I started playing my DC today, after about a month. I didn't even realize it was 9/9.

Little 3rd party support and the PS2 hyped killed it.

it was a great piece of hardware, had some fetures that were advanced than that time period, some of its features was miss used and lack of 3rd party support and most of all, as phixed said, ps2 hype.

No Majora, even though the dreamcast survived for about 2 years, it did please us fans.

All in all, I enjoyed Sega's games on the DC.

Yeah sure it was good at the time, but I'm sure that you were hoping for at least 3 more years.

If the cube stopped now I'd be really really annoyed.

DC is better than every next gen system (not for too long though) but i love it , despite how much my games freeze and dont load half the time. but tahst only for a few (damn shenmue. i already returned it once, but now its worse! ill never beat that since it always frezzes) anyway i have 25 games for it.LONG LIVE DC! i got it for christmas that year

I don't know about you 2, but I loved every Final Fantasy game ever. Infact, I loved 98% of all RPG's ever created. But seriously, just because it had a few minor problems doesn't make it a bad game. Junctioning sucked at the begining but once you got used to it, it was great. The story kicked ass and so did the characters.

Oh God I remember the DC launch. I wanted it SOOO badly but I had to wait until X-Mas. It was horrible up until I finally got it. The first thing I did with it was go online and surf, chat, etc.

Woo! I'll never forget that day! I was so excited to get my FF8... I hugged it, and squeezed it, and loved it, and named it george... ^_^;; I dont care what people say about that game, I still love it! GF's rule!

Anyway.. I thought it was sad how DC went downhill like that. a friend of mine is still obsessed with his DC.. he's the major fanboy of DC, I should bring him here. ^_^ I've only played DC over at his house... DOA was fun to play on it, as well as Sonic Adventure.. but I never got into anything else. I'm sure DC will live on in all our hearts!

I never owned a DC, but whenever I would go to Brian's place we'd play it for hours. All of the games that I played on it were a blast, and that's pretty much the only good part about Sega I have ever seen. Since then, it seems like Sega has gone way downhill. The only game of theirs that really looks good to me is Shinobi, all of the others that I have seen or played really kinda sucked. I've been disappointed with them as of late, and I hope they reverse themselves quickly.

Sega dreamcast was my favorite system.. If I didn't own them all I would be most pissed of that I didn't own a dreamcast out of all them. Gamecube second.. Mario Party 4.... lol

I don't think this topic is stupid, you don't have to post in it if you don't want to. I'm not angry that it was stopped, all this topic is, is a rememberace for the Dreamcast, a great system, IMO.

There's nothing wrong with it.
