Yea ... which console will most likely succeed?

Though ps2 may be in the lead by a longshot, some say Nintendo might just be able to pull it off.

Im supporting the Cube .... Nintendo all the way babay.

I'm hoping Nintendo can pull it off. That would mean more games for Nintendo's next system, and that would also mean I could save some money by not having to buy Sony's game console/DVD/computer/tv/stereo....ok, I'm exaggerating a bit but I would like to see Nintendo pull this one out.

I sincerely think that the PS2 will come out on top, then Cube, then Box. Sorry folks, Mario, Samus, DK, Fox, etc just won't stack up against ultra-violent gore fests on the PS2 in this day and age. Kids today see violent shit all over the media, and for some strange reason, many of them are attcracted to it. Just the other day, when I went to the GameStop in the mall, kids that couldn't have been more than 12 years old ran right past a big Zelda sign, and straight into the PS2 section, gawking at the new GTA game.

Thats just the world we live in. Society is sad. We make so many mistakes and the mistakes leak into the video game industry.

Back to the topic at hand, it's hard to say..... You can't deny the staying power of Sony but Nintendo has just as much if not more.

I agree, PS2 will, without almost any doubt, come out on top. Although, I do believe Nintendo does have a chance if they market their games better and get some real AAA titles, which, of course, they will. A player's choice system like during the 64 might help garner some more gamers as well. I can't see Xbox coming close, I just can't.

Ok back to the topic i think PS2 will cause they are just way to far ahead but i want gamecube to pull it off but thier isn't a very good chance of that happening.

Yea, but GTA4 will definiely sell a few thousand Ps2. And as the price drop ... Gamecube owners wander away and buy Ps2s ... I know I will.

But with their budget and how crapptastic it's going to be to program for the PS3 (harder than the PS2........ is Sony smart or what?) and considering the XBox's (and XBox 2's) programing language is Direct X, it should gather a lot more 3rd party support. Plus add-in Rare, Bioware, Bungie (with XBox Live!) and all the other companies Microsoft has/is going to acquire, and you have one <i>extremely</i> strong line-up for the next-next-gen. As for Nintendo, many people are saying that they're going to support the GameCube until it can no longer compete, and that'll be it.

My vote goes to the GBA. They have and will get many great games... The PS2 will come in second... Gamecube will last for a long time too. No more cheap cartriges this time.

I really want the xbox to come out on top. I love the games out on it now and the games coming out this year. But its sad that Sony is going to win just becuase people are brainwashed or something. Nintendo could do a better job but needs more rpgs. Right now im not very happy with my GC. If nintendo did come out with more great games instead of 3-4 a year that would certainly increase there chances in winning.

Im behind Nintendo all the way but the winner of the console wars is definitly PS2.The war however is still for second place.Will it be Gamecube or Xbox?I think Gamecube could come in second place above Xbox.Thats what i think.

One of the main things that helped sell the PS2 was the backward compatabillity with the ps1.
Nintendo will finish way ahead of Microsoft as nintendo didnot need to drop the price of the machine to sell the console.
Two xbox price cut since March.hmm they are strugling to sell even though it is cheaper than the ps2.
I will get the xbox as and when their are more games i like for the system.
But this is how I think it will go.
1, PS2
2,NGC
3,Xbox

That how it looks in europe and Japan now.I know the xbox is doing better in States.
Time will tell. But I love games no matter what machine they are on. :D

How in the world would X-box ever come out on top, are we talking world wide because if we are Xbox has no shot with thier overseas craptacular sales. I would love to see GC make a comeback, they are gaining a little more ground on PS2 but in the end I just dont think it will be enough. It will go PS2, GC and finally in far last X-box

Yeah The Gamecube seem to have alot of games in my mind, Godzilla, Metroid Prime, Zelda ect. So im pretty sure that at the end of this year more and more titles are gonna be comming to the cube. Yeah Nintendo all the Way.
