Has anybody seen it yet? I am planning on going this weekend. It looks pretty cool. I read that it is supposed to be a true story. Has anybody else heard that? I think somebody probably just misunderstood what they said in the preview about EVP being real, and thought that they meant the events in the movie really happened. I will post my opinion after I watch it.

Looks very eerie (I think I just botched that word). I might go check it out if nothing better is out there.

It looks good and it doesn't. The story itself seems to entice you in because it's unusual but the actually film itself looks utter shite. I might give it a watch, and if I do it'll only be via download.
I just saw it last night actually... not too bad. The film had a few scary moments, but not many. It had a lot of things that weren't entirely explained, example, everything significant happens at 2:30 AM, or PM.
Overall, I enjoyed watching it. It probably wouldn't be as scary outside a theater, so if you're interested in seeing it, I would recommend doing it before the DVD comes out.

I don't really care to see it, its one of those movies I'll catch on HBO next year. But I do enjoy seeing my phone model in the previews.
I saw it. It's kind of medicore. Some parts will scare you, but more because the suspense is executed greatly.

I saw it Friday night, and I agree about watching it before it's out on DVD. It was pretty good, and I would recommend it. It was one of those movies where they take a good idea and make a decent movie out of it, but they could have made it better. They needed to make the movie longer so they could explain a lot more. I don't want to say too much about that though, because I hate spoilers. Don't go to it expecting to see a lot of special effects.

^Yeah it was a good idea, and they could of made it better. This movie had the potential to be really scary, but it wasn't. There was only one scary and creepy moment that wasn't a pop up scare in the entire movie.

Was Keaton pretty good in his return debut?

Yes. Batman went nucking futs.
White Noise is based on the concept of EVP which is an unexplained phenonoma. I think it is more or less limited to analog recordings (As in tape static that sounds like a hiss) or digital recordings that have some sort of white noise in the background. Sometimes EVP recordings are backwards, sped up, slowed down or chopped into bits.
In other words, the tape doesn't actually pick up audio, the static signals are rearranged in such a way that an audio message is formed.
www.aaevp.com is a pretty good site with some samples, but there are others. "Real" EVPs generally have a little "click" sound before they start, nobody knows why this is.

Hmm...that weird, so what was the non pop up scary moment and how does it end?
The ending is a bit of a cliffhanger, but I guess they had no other choice.

Yep, definitely, he played his character very well....And his expressions were....real.
The movie was good, it scared me a few times, especially the first time the trio appeared.
the film looks bad, acting and plot wise....new horror films suck

I wanted to see it, but after what you guys said, I think I'm gonna wait. I've been looking for a good scary movie, but I haven't seen one since Candyman.

Did you watch the Ring? A lot of people didn't like it too well, but I think it's one of the best horror flicks of all time. I think it helped that the first time I watched it was at the movies on Halloween night.
