I knew it would not make it into production. Cars like that rarely make it past prototype. Usually super cars like that do not sell very well. Even yourt average sports car does not sell as well as the average suv/compact car. Take the Mustang for example. The majority of sales come from the v6 model and fewer from the v8 model. The wide user base of the v6 allows them to spark an interest in the SVT version. Ford wouldn't make much money if they only sold the SVT version, because the market is not big enough for a crazy preformance car. It's the same with the ME 4-12, too expensive to build and not a big enough market.

Check out Car And Driver's current issue with the Chrysler Firepower! concept on the cover. (Yes, the exclamation point really is part of the official name.) It's a Viper based sports car meant to compete with the Corvette. It'd be sweet to see on the road if it makes it to production.

^I believe that the Firepower! is indeed going to be a production modle because Chrysler concepts usually make it into production if they are feesable, the ME was sadly not. And about the ME, you guys should have known that it wouldn't make it into production seeing as to how it would compete DIRECTLY with the McLeran SLR and M-B won't allow that to happen. To bad though because this car was freaking amazing, oh well, on with the Firepower!
