It has been eight years since the Nuggets made the playoffs. But on Friday, Denver took a step toward ending that streak with a 110-100 victory over Houston. The win, along with Utah's 94-81 loss to San Antonio, moved the Nuggets within percentage points of eighth-place Portland in the Western Conference playoff chase.
