It was a good book. One of those "one day reads," too, which is always good.

I'm readin the book this year for my GCSE's and i hate it!

I mean i can see where Steinback was coming from but i just dind't enjoy the book at all. The film was even worse! Moreso if you watch the film then read the book, because then when your answering questions on the book to always think of the film...

romeo and juliet sucks
its a great story
but as far as analysing the literary content i got like nothing...
Macbeth however i have billions for...the characters are interesting to anaylse, there is deep and involved themes, symbolism out my ass...

You guy's didn't watch the newer "Of Mice and Men" movie? It's got the dude from CSI:New York and Apollo 13. It was pretty good.

Harmony

Yeah that's the one i was talking about.

He was in Forest Gump aswell. The guy from the war then in the wheelchair. Still didn't think it was all that good...

Yeah, I only liked that movie because I think that dude is totaly badass. The book did kinda suck though. It was well written and had alot of good themes, but I don't like that period in American history. The Great Depression blows.

Yeah that's pretty much the same as me. The plot was good it's just the history. That guy is really cool and he did play George quite well. I didn't think he would have looked like that though...

I read it for my GCSEs, Steinbeck crams so much into so little pages. Good read.

"Ok George", says Jon in a deeply accented and retarded Lenny voice.

I thouroughly enjoyed it as well. Steinbeck is a great author.

Meh... I've never been a big fan of Steinbeck's books.

Of Mice and Men is just decent, in my humble opinion.

I have read of mice and men. We just finished Animal Farm. It was pretty good. It's a good reflection on how communism is beutifle in its purist form but how it goes sour later on.

Mice and men is okay, its depressing, I'm not why many schools have people read it.

wtf. It's supposed to be depressing, how does that make it a bad book?

Gawd, yall would prolly cry if you read a real tragedy, hah.

Most kids who've studied the book at school say they like the book merely because they've never read another.

That's not directed at anyone here.

Crow

it was directed at me like 4 years ago...

I have yet to master the intricies of time travel, so I must question the authenticity of that comment.
