What is the CD/Cassette/8-Track/Record/whatever that you are most proud of owning?

It could be rare, vague, your favorite, unique, anything. What are you proud of owning and why?

I'm proud of all the CDs that I own, but some of my proudest are:

Pavement- "Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain: L.A.'s Desert Origins"
Reggie & The Full Effect- "Greatest Hits '84-'87"
The Mars Volta- "Tremulent"
Atom & His Package- "Redefining Music"

There are a lot more, but I'm not gonna list them.

I like these because they're very good, unique, and they prove I don't find my music on TRL.

I'm proud of owning almost ever Red Hot Chili pepper album. Well, they're downloaded then burned on a CD, so does that count?

Ahhh... good thread topic. :)

Radiohead - Kid A is without a doubt (in my mind) the greatest album of all time. The problem is, a lot of people listen to Radiohead for the first time and just don't get it... "the lead singer sounds like a cat getting skinned alive." Yeah, I've heard all that before, but their music isn't really music you can appreciate the first time through. More people need to give Kid A a chance.

Menomena - I am the Fun Blame Monster! This is a pretty rare, hard to find CD, but it's fantastic... especially the drum work!

The Unicorns - Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone is a great CD, with a very unique approach to pop music.

Smashing Live! The incredibly rare, live orchestrated performance of the music from Super Smash Bros Melee! [/geek]

The Olivia Tremor Control - Black Foliage is really, really trippy pop music.

M83 - Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts creates an excellent sense of atmosphere using synths and vocals.

The Race - If You Can Very simple, but enjoyable electronica.

... and I think that's everything.

I am so proud of the following albums:

Radiohead - OK Computer
So many people say that it's one of the greatest albums ever, and I know that I'm lucky to naturally love it, and I am proud of that.

Radiohead - Kid A
Of course I would be proud of owning my favorite album ever!

Autechre - (their later albums)
Such electronic genius that many people just wouldn't understand.
Seriously, it's way complex!
But to be able to listen to the music fluently makes me proud, and that I own the albums, 'Chiastic Slide', 'Autechre/LP5', 'Confield' and 'Draft 7.30'.
I'm sure that if someone were to look through my collection of CDs and recognise Autechre, they would have slightly more respect for me.
But maybe not.

Ra - Raoul Loves You
An excellent album, but due to it's independant release, not many people will come across it so easily.
That makes me feel somewhat special and proud for owning it.

Bjork - Medulla
I am proud of the fact that I have a mostly acapella album in my collection.
And that it's such an excellent album adds to my pride.

Mr. Bungle - (all three of their albums)
Beside the fact that they made excellent music, I am also proud of the fact that I own the only albums that they will probably release.
Unless they get back together in the future.
But I will miss them.

Fantomas - Delirium Cordia
I am proud to own this album because I believe it to be one of the best albums of our time, if not all time.

Daedelus - Invention
I am proud of owning this album because I made a music video of one of the songs on here for school, and everyone chose it to be the best for that year.
I had so much pride that I had to put it into several Swiss bank accounts.

I am proud of my CD collection in general because I know that it's full of music that I love.
Sure I consider my taste in music to be better than most people's, but that doesn't come into it at all because no one's taste in music is "better" than anyone's.
But to have taste in music that I love is obviously better than having taste in music that I dislike.
I am proud in the development shown in my musical taste, and that I have made the right discoveries.
That is what I am most proud of.

Abbey Road- The Beatles
My favorite album of all time. It's nothing special or rare but I love it.

Iron Maiden - Beast Over Hammersmith

It's a rare Maiden concert recorded a couple months before Number of the Beast came out at the Hammersmith Odeon. Nearly perfect sound, studio worthy performances from the band. Came in a box set Eddie's Archive. First time crowd has heard many of these songs.
