I figured a good rating thread was needed, so I made one.

Modest Mouse - 9.0

There newest album (Good News...) isn't all that great, but The Lonesome Crowded West and The Moon and Antarctica are classics in my book. Not a single bad track on either CD. :)

How about...

The Cure

You should really narrow this down to a specific style of rock.

Not to impressed with their newer stuff, but their albums from the mid to late 90's still rock.

AC/DC - 8.5/10

Most of their songs are very similar to others (I still have trouble telling the difference between the intros to TNT and Dirty Deeds lol). But that doesn't really matter, cause they still fucking rock.

The Doors

Oddyssey

Bush - 6.5

Bush is ok... I really like Glycerine and Machinehead, but not much else by them. They're a bit too much "image" and not enough "music" for my liking.

Neutral Milk Hotel

Want to hear a story? This is kind of off topic but I'm telling it anyway. My aunt's friend's husband (phew) works for some big magazine reviewing music, and he knows a lot of really big stars apparantly. I've known for a long time that he's good friends with Weird Al but I didn't know he knew other people.
Anyway, his wife and my aunt were over my house last weekend. I was going out to get pasta to cook for dinner. I put on my Pink Floyd sweatshirt, and this lady, Joanie, says to me, "Oh you like Pink Floyd?" And I'm like yeah they're aweseome. And then she says........are you sitting down?......"Oh my husband knows Roger Waters."
What......the.......fuck? I could barely keep from screaming. Fucking Roger Waters man. Then she tells me they're not great friends but he does know him, but he's also really really close with Jethro Tull and Rush. Incredible right? Fucking incredible.
I've been hearing rumors that Pink Floyd might be touring next year *prays to God it's true* Anyway, tickets will be impossible to get. Unless of course you know Roger Waters :bigpimp:

Oh well, I guess it wasn't very likely to begin with. Out of every band I'd like to see live, they're probably number two, after McCartney. Well we can always hope they'll reunite some day.
