View Full Version : Fenway fans spit on Sheffield, throw bottles at A-Rod

Alright, enough.
Look, I know you're bitter about A-Rod. I know you're frustrated with Boone. I know you're upset with Steinbrenner, and frustrated with Bucky Dent. I know you're tired of hearing about Babe Ruth. But frankly, you need to check yourself into reality lane, Red Sox fans: relax. I understand this is passionate, understand this is beyond just the game that we've all learned to love, but really, you guys are going insane! Spitting on Sheffield when he is catching a fly ball, throw beer bottles at A-Rod when he is trying to eat lunch at a restaurant. Is it A-Rod's fault that John Henry wouldn't fork up 12 extra million or that the players association wouldn't let the deal happen?
I mean, it's gotten serious to the point where I fear that if the Red Sox don't win the Series in the next few years someone is going to be crazy enough to bring a gun to Fenway during a Yankees/Red Sox series. You guys are becoming terrorists.
Now I understand that Yankee fans aren't angels, I know I'm not, fact is, if I saw one of your prickly Red Sox fans, not all of you, I have Red Sox friends, but a lot of you, that spit on Yankees, hate people who are their fans just for being their fans, the type of people that throw riots over july victories over the Devil Rays, yeah, if I saw you, I'd probably punch you in the sac. No fooling. But really, you've got to relax.
What are you accomplishing if you don't win? I mean, what are you doing to yourself if the "unlikely" possibility that you don't win in THIS IS THE YEAR, this year? You're making the stakes higher for next year, and the next, and the next.
I think the reason I enjoy taking part in (yes, I go to games, I help fund the team, I devote as many hours studying the game and watching the games as any fan out there, I feel in spirit apart of the team) shutting you down when you are at the most greatest of odds of finally breaking through.
It is, as a Baseball Lifer, what makes me enjoy the dew on a summer morning, the clouds in the July sky...
Watching you suffer, because you suffer so badly, because you don't see that you make yourself part of the joke, is what makes this all worth while.
Of course, Contreras is going tomorrow, which means you'll probably win a third, and probably throw a parade or something...

Yeah, but the sad thing is it only takes one REALLY crazy nut amidst thousands of already crazy nuts to do such a thing.

I dont blame them. I would be throwing everything i had at Sheff and Arod and anyone on the Yanks roster for that fact. Once you put on that Yankee uniform you are officially place on my PLEASE GET HURT NOW LIST. I have an extreme hate for the Yankees and wish some stuff i shouldnt say, and i'm not even a red sox fan either GO ORIOLES!!!!!!
IF you go to New York you are asking to get harrased. So i dont feel sorry one bit for anything that happens to a yankee. I laughed at Aaron Boone because he is a dumbass lol. Sad thing is Yankee fans did too, which proves my point, YANKEE FANS ARENT BANDWAGON FANS BUT THEY ARE THE MOST EXTREME FAIRWEATHER FANS IN SPORTS HISTORY. Someone dare say their not.

Why are you asking to get harrased if you go to New York, because you're jealous?
Well that's tough luck sweetheart, take it up the rear end like everyone else. If you sincerely think it would be okay for you to injure people just because they play for a team you don't like, you're worse than an idiot. You should probably kill yourself, if that is the case.
So get going with it.
Oh, and what exactly is the big differenece between being a bandwagon fan and a fairweather fan?
You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I've been following this team since I was still shitting my pants, hopefully you're the same, that's right, in a few years, when you're through shitting your pants, you'll be able to say "I've been following the Orioles since I was shitting my pants."
Facts of life however, are that they will still lose.

These people that throw things at professional athletes and spit on them and do stupid shit like that... One day, I am just waiting for it, one day one of these athletes are going to beat the living snot out of one of them.
More than likely, and I know I'm lumping all into one but I don't mean to do it, it will be one of those sniffling, b*tchy, crying Red Sox fans who think that just because they can drink 4 beers at Fenway they are 10 feet tall and "wicked" bullet proof. I would love to see an athlete beat the shit out of someone for taking a "rivalry" too far. They hate these guys because they make money and play for a different team? That's a little silly.
That being said... I, however, am being a hypocrite, because I HATE Karim Garcia. That's one guy that I'd love to kick the shit out of. I have no idea why. I intentionllay hit him in every single MVP 2004 game I face him in. I can't stand him for some reason. He's a pussy.
I've never heard or seen anyone defend the Yankees before......Well, only because the people I know who like them, don't know who a player on their roster is. Except for maybe Derek Jeter.
Matt's right. The Red Sox fans are going a bit too far. What did Sheffield do to Boston? And, it wasn't A-Rod's fault he wasn't traded their. It was the Sox' owner and the players association or whatever those idiots are called. If anyone should be hit with a bottle it's the Red Sox owner. He's such a hypocrit. He has the second highest payroll in baseball. After failing to land A-Rod, he complains about George and wants a salary cap. WHAT A LOSER!!!!!!! Even though I hate the Yankees so much, I have to agree with Matt.

And Boston can't sit there and say that New York is the Evil Empire... What's Boston's budget? 100+ million? Yeah, Sox fans can go cry to Devil Ray's, Royals and Marlins fans any day.
Silly.

Just a word of warning. I don't know who you are, but you're going to get to know me real quick.
Why, because i hate the Yanks. I'm not jealous, im happy that A-Rod went to NY so he can rot away now with Sheffield and Mussina. Keep yourself in your perfect New York sports world.
And there is a differnce between fairweather and bandwagon, let me explain.
Bandwagon is when a team does good and then you praise them.
Fairweather is a person that likes the team but only shows it when the team is doing good.
Every single Yankee fan is a fairweather fan. This series against the Red Sox proved it to me
If Pedro were to end Jeter's career tonight and join the team on Saturday every yankee fan would be saying DIE PEDRO DIE but as soon as they hear he is coming to the team its OH MY GOD, PEDRO IS THE BEST EVER.
The reason these yankee players are getting treated like that is because there is a thing called hate between Red Sox fans and Yankee fans. Hell, everyone has extreme hate for the yankees so when you put on a yankee uni and then walk into Fenway, expect hell and dont cry and complain when it happens and cry foul.
And Matt, i really dont want to get to know you, care what you think or who you are babycake sugar lips cause i know exactly what you think and what you will say to everything i say already, been there done that so im going to leave this dump and head back to Baseball Fever and talk real baseball where the Yankee fans know its going to take a little bit of work to top the Sox, Jays and my beloved O's.

Chris Paul just proved he is a complete moron. I'm going to 2 red sox-yankee games this season at Yankee Stadium, I went to 1 last year. I was scared wearing a yankee jersey. The red sox fans are crazy, throwing stuff everywhere, getting in fights. Luckily I sat next to nice fans of both sides. I'm actually hoping that the Red Sox win the WS this season, so they can just shut up. The problem is that they would be rubbing it in your faces, but guess what? The WS Count is 26-2, so shut up.

1) You have absolutey no idea what you're talking about when it comes to Yankee fans. True, a lot of them are fairweather fans. But not all of them, this bigotted generalization makes you look dumb. Would you rather make a point and look intelligent or be obnoxious and completely ignored? The latter is something Yankee haters have seemed to perfect.
2) Just because your brain can't fathom someone being loyal to the jersey and not the person doesn't mean it's not possible. I hate Pedro Martinez, I always will hate Pedro Martinez. I dislike Jason Giambi, but I root for him to succeed because he is a Yankee and I want him to help the team. I couldn't care less if he died of a horribl disease, as long as he performs well when he's a Yankee, this is called wanting your team succeed, and it has nothing to do with being a fairweather fan. Your relation = A Grammar School pile of trash. Try lateral thinking man, sheesh.
3) Thirdly, don't go from forum to forum crapping your panties about how the Yankees suck and this and that and defining the character of an entire group of people just because you have an axe to grind. This, as well, makes you idiotic. Instead stay in your enclosed forum over at Shitsville or wherever you said it was so that you can be completely comfortable with the responses that you get, and so that you can continue to selfserve yourself with your idealistic view of how no one who is a fan of a team YOU approve can be a real fan.
Lastly) Get a grip man. Any fan as redundant in their hate and repetative in their idiocy as you can only be one of two kinds of people, either 1) you have waited for your "beloved" Orioles to take a dive into the market and try to build a good team to open up your mouth, or 2) you're a complete and utter bafoon.
But that's not for me to choose. You pick.

No, actually the orioles got me into baseball 12 years ago and the only team i root for.
Matt sounds like he's got a stick up his ass or something. And you can say whatever you want about me, the only reason im acting like this is because you came out of nowhere with your statements.
And about my hatred to the yanks, its C, neither. It is possible for someone to hate something really bad and i really hate the yanks. enough that i pray Steinbrenner chokes on a cheesburger lol.
Your comments dont bother me though, you dont know me one bit so you really cant say anything about me. You know if you wouldnt have just came out at me like that maybe you would have gotten to know the extremely smart side of me. Take it how you want.

Oh but see, you're a lying piece of crap. Psychology teaches us that anything we apply ourselves to at least twice (this now being your third post in the thread) forces us to put some undebateable concern towards the subject. Considering you've even exceeded that minimum, I can all but know that you in fact care a lot about how you are perceived.
But it doesn't stop you from saving us the trouble and leaving as soon as possible.
