Yesterday: RED SOX 12, TWINS 1
Larry Jones batted in Chris Brown for the Twins only run. Dante Blancarte and Jilmer Arratia were both two-for-four at the plate of the Twins.
Valentin Pineda surrendered five runs - four earned - on five hits, walked one and struck out one in one innings worth of work. Starter Steve Waldrop took the loss in three innings after giving up an unearned run one two hits, while striking out two.
Errors cost the Twins big time though, as only six of the Sox 12 runs were earned.
Short stop Hanley Ramirez played for the Red Sox on a rehab assignment from the FSL Sarasox.
