No More Interleague Play!

I am sick of this interleague shit. It was fun at first, but the luster is gone. Seeing the Mets play the Yankees is like the Mets playing any other team, it's no longer this intense rivalry. It's also no longer fair for the Mets. They have to play the Yankees six times a year, when no other team in the Mets' division sees the Yanks a single time. If the Phillies and Marlins had to play the Yanks six times a year, I'm sure they'd have a very similar record to the Mets (36-38).

To be honest, the NL East is just a divsion with a bunch of mediocre teams. It used to be the Braves and everyone else. Now it's just everyone else. The Marlins get off easy playing teams like the Devil Rays and Orioles while you guys get the Yankees. I for one, like interleague play, and you guys have to deal with the Yankees one more time, who come to Shea next Saturday, I believe... don't they? The White Sox come to Wrigley this weekend, so...

The thing is, if all these other mediocre teams played the Yanks, the Mets would be tied for first place.

I guess so. It works the same way with the Cubs-White Sox... nobody else in our division plays them 6 times a year. >:O

The Phillies and Marlins both lost 2 of 3 in their "rivalry" series too, so you don't have be crying foul. The Rays and Red Sox are not pushovers, and you haven't lost any ground from playing the Yankees.

However, I think it is getting played out a little. Take a year or two off, or just make it one series. Don't let it get played out like 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire" did.

I don't see why MLB dosen't just scrap interleague, along with the un balanced schedule. Being a Twins fan I see the Brewers come here more than the Yankees or the Red Sox it's crazy! And don't get me started on the "rivalry" series you can't just try and create a rival for every team!

It's stupid to play the Yankees as many times as we play any team in the NL Central or West.
